The most unforgettable day in Tuscany

There are rare occasions in life when something is just perfect and our time at Tenuta Chiudedone was exactly that. Everything was simply superlative: the free-flowing organic wine, food from fresh produce we picked and cooked together to kindred spirits in fellow travellers and most of all Francesco himself - the pragmatic host, fantastic cook and captivating storyteller. Antonello the farm dog further sweetened the day with his lively companion. The lunch was so fun and lively that we didn't want the day to end. It was the most delicious food we've ever had and the most special feeling we've ever felt. The day concluded with a pleasure swim in the saltwater infinity pool- a perfect place to relax, reflex and save that magical view of breathtaking Tuscan hill in our memories. We left the farm with smiles on our faces, sun on our skin and memories that last a lifetime. If you only plan to do one activity in Florence, make it this one. It will transform your life for the better. This is without a doubt the best experience we had in our two weeks vacation in Italy. Our 11 year-old daughters already ask to come back to Francesco's farm as they still talk about it everyday. Arrivederci.

    Best day ever!!

This is a 10 star experience! Our whole family loved it so much - I told them it was the best day of my life! I was really set on visiting wineries in Tuscany but I did not want to rent a car. There's virtually no options for public transportation to visit wineries so the only options were hiring a private driver or joining a large group tour. We are a family with three kids ages 6-11, so neither of these options seemed like a good idea - at least not one that everyone would enjoy. When I heard about the farm to table experience here, it sounded like a dream and absolutely what we were looking for. And it was that and beyond!! Such an amazing experience. The hands on cooking - even my kids helped by making tiramisu. The beautiful kitchen overlooking the hills/vineyards, the charming table set up for lunch, the energy of everyone working together to create a delicious meal with most of the ingredients coming from their organic farm onsite - it was heaven! We got to visit the wine cellar and sample some wine and olive oil. We are going to purchase it when it's ready this fall. The kids got to try a special lemon soda that they declared was the best thing ever that we are tying to figure out how to ship to the US. The infinity pool was perfect for the hot afternoon and so relaxing. The kids even got to pick some vegetables before leaving and Isabella cut up a cucumber for them for the train ride home. I could go on and on about this experience, but trust me, if you have the opportunity to fit this in your schedule, you absolutely should do it. You will have a hands on, authentic Tuscan experience that your whole family will treasure forever!

Response from the operator: thank you so much! We really hope to host you again soon! Ciao :-)

Trip to the farm with kids

Came here with my husband, 2 daughters 6 & 7 and another family with a child as well. Meet up at the train was easy. We arrived at the farm and were immediately offered lemonade and showed where the restroom was. The cooking part was the funnest part! Our group plus other people who were also there started cooking on separate dishes . Sat down to eat, lots of wine was poured to enjoy with the meal, stories were shared and a good time was had. Swimming after and then back to Florence. Highly recommend this to anyone looking to get away from the city for a day and experience an amazing afternoon. Our kids got to participate in the cooking and enjoyed their infinity pool. Good vibes only! Francesco and his beautiful wife ( along with their kids) make this an experience you will not forget.

    Perfect day in Tuscany

After 9 days of touring Europe at a fast pace, this was like going back in time. It was perfectly paced and lovely. From the pickup to the people we met to Francesco’s amazing wife and boys (and Antinello the dog) we loved every minute. The wine, the food, the pool, the people…cannot recommend it enough. Our favorite day by far!

Farm To table Experience on an organic hilltop estate in Tuscany: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Florence.

How much does Farm To table Experience on an organic hilltop estate in Tuscany cost?

    +

Prices start at $50 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Florence usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Farm To table Experience on an organic hilltop estate in Tuscany take?

    +

Plan for about 7.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Florence is not rushed.

Is Farm To table Experience on an organic hilltop estate in Tuscany worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 85 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 156 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Florence, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Farm To table Experience on an organic hilltop estate in Tuscany?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Farm To table Experience on an organic hilltop estate in Tuscany suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Farm To table Experience on an organic hilltop estate in Tuscany?

    +

Around 55 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Florence can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Florence and add a light layer if any part of the 7.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Farm To table Experience on an organic hilltop estate in Tuscany start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Florence within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Florence?

    +

On Outty we rank every Florence experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Best tour in Florence: Renaissance & Medici Tales - guided by a STORYTELLER, Florence Pizza or Pasta Class & Gelato Making at a Tuscan Farm, Small group Tuscan Wineries, Olive Oil & Gourmet Lunch or Dinner. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Florence?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Florence?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
