10/10 experience. Highly recommend!
My guide David was wonderful! He was very helpful teaching us how to paddleboard but still let us find how we’re most comfortable. He even towed a girl back who wasn’t feeling well and got her back to the dock pretty quickly. I personally got to see some dolphins and that was incredible. It’s SO cool seeing them that close! He was also very knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife. Made sure we were all safe and taught us to stay clear of the boats and the grass. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone. 10/10. Tip - bring water and wear lots of sunscreen!
Response from the operator: Thank you for the wonderful review! We’re so glad David made your experience both fun and comfortable. Seeing dolphins up close is always such a special bonus! We’ll be sure to share your kind words with David, and we hope to see you again soon!

Fantastic activity
I have always wanted to try this activity & found the perfect opportunity to do it on Hilton Head! Our guide, Wayne did a superb job of explaining what it took to stat on the board & paddle successfully. For me, it was excellent to be able to stand up on the board, especially with my age, which is 60+! This experience exceeded my expectations!

So much fun on Family intro to paddle boarding
We did the family intro to paddle boarding with Grace and had the absolute best time. I am not athletic and have terrible balance so I almost stayed home but I’m so glad I went. She was friendly, encouraging, and got us all paddle boarding in no time. We saw dolphins, played games in the water, and had the best time. I can’t recommend doing a tour with Grace enough!!!

Family Intro to Stand Up Paddleboarding: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hilton Head Island.
How much does Family Intro to Stand Up Paddleboarding cost?
+
Prices start at $57 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hilton Head Island usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Family Intro to Stand Up Paddleboarding take?
+
Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hilton Head Island is not rushed.
Is Family Intro to Stand Up Paddleboarding worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hilton Head Island, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Family Intro to Stand Up Paddleboarding?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Family Intro to Stand Up Paddleboarding suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Family Intro to Stand Up Paddleboarding?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hilton Head Island can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hilton Head Island and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Family Intro to Stand Up Paddleboarding start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hilton Head Island within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Hilton Head Island?
+
Hilton Head sells dolphin and sunset cruises out of Broad Creek, kayak and boat trips through Lowcountry salt marsh, bike rentals for the island trail network and shrimping demonstrations. On Outty we rank every Hilton Head Island experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Daufuskie Island Guided History Tour from Hilton Head, 2-Hour Hilton Head Guided Kayak Nature Tour, Hilton Head Island Dolphin Boat Cruise. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Hilton Head Island?
+
March to May and September to November, warm without peak summer crowds. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Hilton Head Island?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in Family Intro to Stand Up Paddleboarding?
+
Included: Guide is licensed or certified; and SUP, paddle and lifejacket included. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.
Where is the meeting point for Family Intro to Stand Up Paddleboarding?
+
We are located at the southwest corner of the marina next to the Ship Store and ELA's on the Water Restaurant. Please arrive 15 minutes before time of departure. Hotel pickup is not included, so plan your own transport and arrive 15 minutes early.
What languages is Family Intro to Stand Up Paddleboarding offered in?
+
It runs in English. Pick your language when choosing a date and time, as not every departure runs in every language.
Will I get instant confirmation and a mobile ticket for Family Intro to Stand Up Paddleboarding?
+
