Be thrilled by the story surrounded between the 3 little shepherds and the Chapel of the Apocalypse, where the Virgin Mary appeared in 1917. Other sacred sites include the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, with its golden angels, and the modern Church of the Most Holy Trinity. Enjoy a walking tour in the open air, through the Shrine of the Valinhos and its Via-Sacra. Explore the birthplace of the 3 little shepherds by visiting the house where they were born and lived their first years. Return to Porto after a day full of emotion and learning. The Chapel, in the heart of the current Sanctuary of Fátima, was built by people in 1919, in response to a request made by Our Lady during one of the apparitions. Valinhos Sanctuary
Between the 8th and 9th stations of the Way of the Cross, on the Caminho dos Pastorinhos, is the place where the fourth apparition of Our Lady took place, on August 19, 1917. Currently, Valinhos is visited by thousands of Portuguese pilgrims and foreigners who follow the Way of the Cross route to the Hungarian Calvary, visit the Chapel of Saint Stephen of Hungary and then visit the Casa de Lúcia and the Casa de Francisco and Jacinta Marto in the village of Aljustrel.

Aljustrel, the village of Pastorinhos. The houses where the Little Shepherds of Fátima were born retain their original structure. The two houses are on one floor, with whitewashed limestone walls. The interiors, comprising a kitchen, living room, bedrooms and storage, feature furniture, some period, that recreates the scenes from the Shepherds' childhood.

Day in Fatima
We had a wonderful day with Gisela our guide. She not only took us to all the Fatima highlights, but told us about Portuguese culture and history. She was such a sweet young woman who felt like family by the end of the day.

Great guide, broken car
Jose was an excellent guide who provided us with lots of information about the apparitions, the children and the sanctuary. He was very helpful and went over and beyond to get a wheelchair for my dad so he could more comfortably tour with us. He also took us to a good lunch place. The only downaide to the tour was that the car’s aircon broke down on our return fo Porto so we were traveling in great discomfort for more than 2 hours. Jose did all he could to make it bearable for us but the temp that day as well as the time of day we were traveling without aircon were just too much

A day with a new friend.
Gisela was wonderful. She made if feel like we were being taken out by a friend. Her flexibility and friendliness were hoped for and fully delivered. We had a wonderul time.

Coimbra and Our Lady of Fatima
We hired David for a private tour to Coimbra - and the very old University of Coimbra. David is a wonderful tour guide very attentive and knowledgeable and fun to be around. But it was after this part of the tour my soul was fulfilled as we went to Our Lady of Fatima. David explained much of the miracle of the apparition as we toured the area. David even squeezed in time to tour the homes of Jacinto, Francisco and Lucia. We saw much and our souls were fed as this has been and will continue to be very inspiration. I thank David for everything and appreciate how competent and wonderful he was with us.
