    About this experience

Cozumel is an island that has a fairly large concentration of marine life, becomes an excellent place for diving and snorkeling. Therefore, there you will see many people doing their traditional diving, snorkeling and exploring, even more, this town, which is amazing and very different too. One of the most striking attractions when reading about Cozumel is El Cielo, a strip of white sand at the southern tip of the island, which belongs to a protected natural area. It is known this because its turquoise waters make it possible to see the thousands of sea stars that inhabit there. Snorkeling with starfish in Cozumel is one of the most unforgettable experiences you could live in the Riviera Maya. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: During September 2023, the Palancar and Colombia reefs will be closed, due to the protection and care of the marine life of the natural reserve. Therefore, we will be visiting Xhul ha and Palancar (Herradura) reefs instead. Thank you for your understanding.

    Bad planning

Excursion unfortunately got canceled due to weather and local authorities closing the port. This would not have happened if we would of been on the same ferry departure. As we were staying in Playa del Carmen. Unfortunately they make you wait for Tulum and Cancun passengers. This needs to be looked at and fixed go by zones or city located and not bunch everyone together. As the first excursion was able to realize there excursion

    Speedy Refund

Writing this review to comment on their customer service. We were not able to take the excursion due to weather. We were updated days before of possible reschedule because of rain. We couldn't reschedule because we had to return home. They let me know of my other options and opted for refund. Refund took about 3 days to show on card. Hope to be able to take excursion next time we are in Cancun.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience with us! We’re sorry to hear that the weather impacted your plans, but we appreciate your understanding regarding the situation. We’re glad that our team was able to provide you with options, and we’re pleased to know the refund process was smooth for you. We hope to welcome you back in the future so you can enjoy the excursion you had planned. Safe travels, and we look forward to seeing you next time you’re in Cancun!

Didn’t have everything they offered in the description

The boat guys were great . Giovanni, Narciso and the photographer were really good and overall we had a great time . I rated a three because out transportation was late getting us and we were picked by a small van that was overpacked and felt like sardines . They had a small boy in one of the front seats with extra space that he didn’t need but my husband and I were the last ones to get picked and had horrible seats. Between two other adults and we were too tight, the front seats were broken so the weight was on top of our legs . I had requested a tour in English and although the guide and other staff were bilingual my husband was the only who didn’t speak Spanish . If I requested a tour in English I should’ve been placed in group with everyone speaking English or at least bilingual so we can all interact with each other . I even asked someone form the company to make sure of that and my request was ignored . The ferry and boat ride to the reefs were great . The view was out of this world and we had a great time after snorkeling enjoying cielito beach . ( ocean ) . I didn’t get the breakfast they offered or lunch box and we didn’t end our tour in a private beach club as it says in the description . It was a little restaurant , with a dry tub on a rocky area that we couldn’t even go in the ocean or enjoy the so called “ private beach club “ as we were told . The ride back from the restaurant to the ferry areas was not included, we ended the excursion at this restaurant that was 35 min walking from the ferry and center of town where the shops and vendors were. We had to pay for a taxis to get back near the ferry and shops . There was nothing to do at this “”beach club” besides eat and leave . We thought we were going to get snacks but we didn’t . Other boats had snack lay out on a floating device on the water we didn’t get that . I know you guys have different people you hire for these excursions but you have to make sure they offer and do what’s in the description!! I actually canceled the second tour I originally have with you because I was not sure what I was going to get .

Response from the operator: Dear Monica! We appreciate your good comments about our staff. Please note that being a shared tour this is done in English and Spanish. giving priority to the language you selected at the time of booking, however, if in the group there are people who speak different languages, the explanation will be in English and Spanish. The child sitting in the front is under the responsibility of the accompanying adult because if they chose to sit there, it is rude to ask them to get out of the seat. Your comments help us to improve, we are working daily to make our service the best and that is why your feedback is very important. Have a nice day and best regards.

Wonder experience and felt very safe

There are multiple transfers to destination, but the travel guide stayed with us the whole trip making us feel very secure. Snorkeling guide was fantastic got us up close with sting rays If we asked. Bring a sun shirt bc suntan lotion isn't allowed, I got a bad sunburn without a sun shirt, very enjoyable tour I would highly recommend!

Response from the operator: Hi, it's good to know that you felt secure in the activity. Thanks for the preference and we're hope it wasn't serious the sunburn. Best regards.

    Snorkeling in Cozumel

This was an amazing experience with an opportunity to be somewhat better. Communication with this company was great. They pick you up at your hotel, which for us was in the Rivera Maya, and transport you to the Winjet Ferry to go over to Cozumel. The company, prior to being picked up, messengers you when you are to leave. Because food was going to be served I notified the company that we have celiac disease and they were able to accommodate the breakfast snack and the provided lunch. The morning (7:30), due to where we were located, was taken up by transporting us to Cozumel by taxi and water taxi. Once in Cozumel you are again taxied to the dock to go to the reefs. We had a total in our group 7 people and at this time had another 3 people joined to us on our snorkeling adventure. We then boated to the different reefs. We had a very clear and calm day. Temp was 84 degrees with a slight breeze. Because of this the water was perfect for snorkeling. The reefs and El Cielo beach were amazing! We were able to see multiple different types of tropical fish. We were able to see huge starfish. There were multiple stingrays. We had an incredible underwater photographer, Ana, that took amazing photographs of my family, the reefs, and fish. She also fed fish which led to our group being surrounded by schools of fish. Her work can be seen on instagram at mimundounderwater. I would recommend purchasing her pictures. They turned out great! The ship's captain had multiple beverages to drink. They also had refreshing pineapple available to eat after each snorkel. After the snorkeling you are brought to a local restaurant and eat tacos. The food was ok; however, they did cater to us being celiac which was a plus. You pay for your own taxi back to the Winjet pier. I wish we could have travelled back to our hotel after the late lunch; however, we had 2 hours to kill at the pier. There were shops around to look. I would have either liked to snorkel for longer or, once the late lunch was done, be brought back to our hotel. After the water taxi we had to wait again at an outdoor mall for another hour before being taxied back to our hotel. If you wanted to shop it would have been a great opportunity to shop at the mall. By this time it was 5 pm and we were ready to be back. We left at 6pm and were back to our hotel by 7pm. It was a fun full day. If we didn't have the two times of downtime we would have been back by 4 pm which would have been perfect. All in all we would do it again.

Response from the operator: Dear traveler! It's fantastic to know that you spent a great time exploring El Cielo with us and that our guides made the experience memorable. Your kind words inspire us to continue providing exceptional tours for our guests. Thank you for choosing us, and we can't wait to show you even more fascinating destinations in the future! Best regards.
