At the end of this corridor the visitor faces the «Castle», one of the most impressive formations on the ground recalling a castle's battlements, and even a «rampart» a few metres before that. Small or large lakes, 13 in total, succeed one another, while terrestrial areas alternate with lake ones until the cave's end, for a total length of nearly 2 km (1980 m) and an area of 20,000 m2. A great daytrip for a solo traveller

A great daytrip to see parts of the Pelopennese. The visit to ancient Corinth and Akrocorinth were a highlight as you arrive before the crowds. The train ride was great - scenery was beautiful. Lunch was delicious and the tavern had great atmosphere. The cave tour was shorter than expected, but at the end of a long day that was actually okay. My driver Antony was professional, polite, and informative.

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to write this review. Always at your service.

Flexible but full day! Highly recommend!

If you have the chance to take a private tour, take this one! Our guide Nathan was prompt, kind and friendly. We had an amazing day, packing in many different experiences, that is only possible to do as a private tour - there's no way we could have done so much in a tour bus! The meal was absolutely delicious, Acrocorinth was spectacular (well worth the climb!), and the mountain train was breathtaking. Highly recommend!

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to write this review. Always at your service.

Old Corinth, Acrocorinth, Cave of Lakes and a very special train ride by Crispy Local

We had a trip the Old Corinth, Acrocorinth, Kalavryta, the Cave of the Lakes, and the train back to Diakopti with Crispy Local. It was our third trip with Crispy Local with our host and driver Anthony. The service was great again and the experience wonderful. A great thank you for Anthony! Apart from that the sites we visited are absolutely worth visiting. A view into Greek history, excellent panoramas, delicious food, a marvellous train trip through the nature of the mountainous area of Kalavryta. We had an absolutely great day! Next year we will book another tour!

Our guide Giorgos was incredibly knowledgeable about all the site locations. He engaged in conversation when we wanted to discuss history and offered insights as they related to the sites we passed and explored. He was professional, a safe driver, and allowed for privacy during our day.

"Exceptional Second Tour with Christy Local & George!"

"We recently completed our second tour with Christy Local and George, and once again, we were thoroughly impressed. The day in Korinth, including the captivating caves and the scenic train ride through the valley, was impeccably organized. Our guide at the ancient city of Korinth, Vera, was truly outstanding. She brought the history to life with her insightful knowledge and engaging presentation. The chosen restaurant for lunch was a delightful experience with delicious food. Throughout the day, George's attentive care and consideration for every detail made our journey truly special. We wholeheartedly recommend Christy Local for anyone seeking an exceptional travel experience. Explore Corinth & Mythical Cave of Lakes, Ride Cog Rail Plus Meal: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.

How much does Explore Corinth & Mythical Cave of Lakes, Ride Cog Rail Plus Meal cost?

+

Prices start at $130 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Explore Corinth & Mythical Cave of Lakes, Ride Cog Rail Plus Meal take?

+

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.

Is Explore Corinth & Mythical Cave of Lakes, Ride Cog Rail Plus Meal worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 20 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Explore Corinth & Mythical Cave of Lakes, Ride Cog Rail Plus Meal?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Explore Corinth & Mythical Cave of Lakes, Ride Cog Rail Plus Meal suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 3. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 10-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Explore Corinth & Mythical Cave of Lakes, Ride Cog Rail Plus Meal?

+

Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Explore Corinth & Mythical Cave of Lakes, Ride Cog Rail Plus Meal start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Athens?

+

On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Athens?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Athens?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
