    Appstate in Athens

This was a very fun and educational experience. We took college students from Appstate and learned so much about the old and new methods of wine making. Simple pairings and good variety of wines to try. Anton is fabulous. Great experience. Well worth the price!

Response from the operator: Thaaaaank you so much!!! Great meeting you....Can't believe 14 people fit in my space. Ok now it's been corrected to 10...🥰🙏 Have fun in Crete!!!

Outstanding Private Tasting of Greek Wines

We cannot recommend this experience highly enough. I booked a private tasting for my husband's birthday focused on natural, organic, and biodynamic Greek wines, and it exceeded our expectations. Anton is an exceptional host. He is welcoming, highly knowledgeable, and a patient teacher. The tasting room is intimate and thoughtfully curated, with an impressive selection of bottles from Greece and beyond. What stood out most was the depth of the experience. Anton did not just guide us through the wines. He provided clear and engaging context on Greek varietals, how they compare to other European and U.S. wines, and how to evaluate quality and pricing. We left with a much stronger understanding of what we like and how to choose wines with confidence. We have done several tastings and tours around the world, and this was one of the most informative and well-executed experiences we have had. If you are interested in Greek wine, or want a more educational tasting focused on natural, organic, and biodynamic wines, this is absolutely worth your time. Thank you, Anton. We are excited to return to Athens in the future!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your great comments!!!

    Hidden gem

We almost did not go in to this tiny wine bar/ tasting even though we followed the google recommendation. It is a small room. I am so glad we decided to stay. Our host has amazing knowledge of local wines and determined our samples based on our ‘likes’. An interesting selection of wines to taste and easy to chat about history of local wines. I really enjoyed the selection and the interaction. Would highly recommend for someone interested in, and who enjoys wine.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your comments!! I have specifically design products for the visitors in Athens that will like to explore secrets about the products that Greece produces for millenia. Lovely hosting you !!! What a joy!!! Regards Anton

Explore Natural, Organic and Biodynamic Wines of Greece: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.

How much does Explore Natural, Organic and Biodynamic Wines of Greece cost?

    +

Prices start at $27 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Explore Natural, Organic and Biodynamic Wines of Greece take?

    +

Plan for about 1.3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.

Is Explore Natural, Organic and Biodynamic Wines of Greece worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Explore Natural, Organic and Biodynamic Wines of Greece?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Explore Natural, Organic and Biodynamic Wines of Greece suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Explore Natural, Organic and Biodynamic Wines of Greece?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 1.3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Explore Natural, Organic and Biodynamic Wines of Greece start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Athens?

    +

On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Athens?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Athens?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
