A captivating experience
I had a brilliant tour with Thomas! He is extremely knowledgeable about the street art scene in Athens, and it was fascinating to see many wonderful pieces while learning the backstory and context behind them. The food and coffee were a lovely enhancement to an already highly enjoyable tour, and provided a nice opportunity to share conversation with a very friendly and interesting local. Highly recommended!

Excellent, unique tour with interesting information and delicious food!
This was a really unique tour. Due to schedule changes, this was the first thing we did in Athens and I'm actually glad it turned out this way. It was so interesting to learn about the various graffiti and street artists and for the rest of the week, my children kept spotting various artist's work and pointing them out, which turned the week into kind of a graffiti scavenger hunt. The food was delicious and better than other places that had been recommended to me by friends, definitely hang on to this guide's recommendations! My only suggestion would be to start the tour with some food, then launch into the art, then circle back to the food. I didn't give my kids breakfast because we were going on a food tour, so they were hungry and grumpy in the beginning and not as into the initial street art explanations as they would have been if they had eaten some delicious food first. I didn't realize it would be a few hours before we had any food and I think kicking off the tour with some coffee and greek donuts would've been really nice.

Great walking and snacking tour in Athens
I had a great time walking with my tour guide Thomas! We had great conversations about his hometown of Athens and his love of street art. I learned a lot about this type of visual art and how the artists conceptualize and created them. The 3 hours of the tour pass by quickly and was not to taxing, only walked like 4 miles on nearly flat terrain. Also, Thomas was kind enough to treat me to delicious cold brew coffee and some sweet Greek pastries called “bougatsa”. Overall, I give the walking tour a 5 star rating.

GREAT WAY TO MOVE YOUR LEGS AFTER A LONG FLIGHT
Kalliopi was great. Very knowledgeable and took the time to explain the different types of street art. We saw some great works and really just enjoyed feeling the vibe of a neighborhood in Athens. The walking was easy. For the most part, the pace was good. We had just arrived in Athens that morning from a long flight, so it was a good way to finish off the day and move our bodies. We took a 5-8 pm tour and we finished in a neighborhood with several outdoor restaurants to choose from.

An excellent, off-the-beaten-track tour of the Athens public art scene
What a fascinating way to spend several hours in Athens. The tour covered a range of artists and sites. Kalliopi explained the back stories and artistic styles of various images around the Keramikos and Psiri neighbourhoods in a very engaging way. Although I am relatively familiar with the city, I learned a lot and also appreciated the recommendations for shops and particularly restaurants, two of which I tried out that evening and the next day. Highly recommended!

Why this scores 73
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Explore Athens Street Art & Street Food Extravaganza: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Athens.
How much does Explore Athens Street Art & Street Food Extravaganza cost?
+
Prices start at $48 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Athens usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Explore Athens Street Art & Street Food Extravaganza take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Athens is not rushed.
Is Explore Athens Street Art & Street Food Extravaganza worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 20 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Athens, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Explore Athens Street Art & Street Food Extravaganza?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Explore Athens Street Art & Street Food Extravaganza suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Explore Athens Street Art & Street Food Extravaganza?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Athens can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Athens and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Explore Athens Street Art & Street Food Extravaganza start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Athens within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Athens?
+
On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Small Group Greek Traditional Food Tour in Athens 20+ Tastings, Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Athens?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Athens?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
