Beautiful, stunning views
Boat trip to Angthong national marine park was a great experience, starting with a pick up at our hotel which took us to the boat..light breakfast was provided, great banana muffins, tea, coffee, water, some fruit. The staff were very friendly and informative, the view from the top of the nature walk was stunning, a tiring semi steep walk but well worth it, the emerald lagoon was beautiful, snorkel was provided, lunch was good. Everything was well organised, unfortunately the driver on the transfer back was very rude and grumpy, he barely acknowledged us and did not even look at us when we thanked him…my only complaint, all else was great and good value, very grateful to visit this special place
Response from the operator: Dear Ritsa Murray, Thank you for your review. We're glad to hear that you had a great experience on your boat trip to Angthong National Marine Park. It's wonderful that you enjoyed the entire trip, from the delicious light breakfast, lunch and friendly staff to the stunning views from the viewpoint and the beautiful Emerald Lagoon. We're also happy that you found the tour to be well-organized and a good value. We are, however, very sorry to hear about your negative experience with the transfer driver on the way back. This is not the standard of service we strive for, and we sincerely apologize for his rude and grumpy behavior. We take this feedback seriously and will address this matter with our transportation team to ensure it does not happen again. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and thank you for your kind words about the trip itself. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back again in the future. Best regards, Jiggy

Anthong national park was a great seenery
Everything was planned very smooth. From pick Io at hotel to the boat and back. Lunch was plenty and good. We went on the best day in our holiday without any waves. They sell water onboard.

Disappointment with uncomfortable, unsafe conditions, and confusing communications
We were excited about this full day outing in Angthong National Marine Park and it started out okay but we were very disappointed with many aspects of the trip. There was confusion with the pickup from our hotel even though they confirmed with me twice the day before, and they had no record of our names on the trip. The driver showed up at our hotel at the time stated but he had a piece of paper with some other people's names that were not there. It took a bunch of calls back and forth to someone in the office to get him to take us and then he had to speed and pass cars on the wrong side of the road to get to the dock on time as we were late. We had the same experience at the dock when we checked in on the boat and no one had any record of our being on the tour. The weather conditions were not good and there were thunderstorms, high waves, and pouring rain throughout the day which put a damper on things. This was not the fault of the operator at all but I felt that they did not consider the safety of the guests by proceeding with the kayaking and water activities despite very high waves and loud thunder claps. At the first stop people were transported from the big boat to a longtail boat, and then onto a moving floating dock made of plastic containers connected together. When we returned the waves were very high and the floating plastic was moving up and down like a roller coaster with waves washing through it as you were trying to walk on it. One woman wiped out and fell down right in front of me and no one from the tour helped her or even noticed. Again the weather and waves were not the operator's fault but there should have been someone nearby to guide people as safely as possible to and from the boat. It was every person for themselves as we all tried to scramble back at the same time and the conditions were not safe. It was very wet and uncomfortable most of the day on the boat because of the pouring buckets of rain coming through the open sides of the boat onto the seating and all over the floor. You didn't really have the option to go to a dryer space though because it was crowded and most of the boat was open to the rain. Staff did try to wipe off the seats and clean up the food when people were left the boat but I didn't understand why they did not roll down the plastic sheeting on the side of the boat in some places to try to protect people from the rain. I think that if there was more consideration to comfort and safety of the guests, some communication about the risks, and extra help to those that needed it I would rate it higher. It is probably a better tour when the weather is better but the overall experience was disappointing and we were glad when it ended. On the positive side the hike and views on our first stop were pretty amazing and the beach and ocean were really pretty areas when it wasn't raining so hard. The hike is quite challenging though so be aware of this as not everyone can make it.
Response from the operator: Dear Jennifer, Thank you for your review and sorry for any disappointed experience causing during your trip! We will pass your feedback to all people concern to improve the better services to our customers. Best regards, Jiggy

Good value trip, stunning views
Good value trip. The views from the steep but short climbs are amazing. Pick up from hotel was on time and well organised to take you to ferry terminal. You pay 300 THB per person before boarding (cash only) for National Park access. It’s about 90 mins to first stop and unfortunately it was very stormy seas so most (including me) got sea sick en route .. never happened before! Because of the storms we didn’t stop for snorkelling. We went to beach where we picked up kayaks … it was very windy so although only a short route to the beach for the beautiful look out, the kayaking back to the beach was cancelled and a boat picked us up. The climb to the top was well worth it. Just beautiful and the skies had cleared up then. We then headed on boat and had lunch which was chicken rice and salad. The boat took us to another beautiful beach only 10 mins away where there was another climb and view point. This is 150 THB paid on the path. We didn’t bother with this one and enjoyed the beach and a swim. The journey back was about 1 hour 45… then taxi to hotel. Overall great day which without the storms would have been even better. Explore Angthong National Marine Park by Big Boat from Koh Samui: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Koh Samui.
How much does Explore Angthong National Marine Park by Big Boat from Koh Samui cost?
+
Prices start at $37 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Koh Samui usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Explore Angthong National Marine Park by Big Boat from Koh Samui take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Koh Samui is not rushed.
Is Explore Angthong National Marine Park by Big Boat from Koh Samui worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 57 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Koh Samui, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Explore Angthong National Marine Park by Big Boat from Koh Samui?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Explore Angthong National Marine Park by Big Boat from Koh Samui suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Explore Angthong National Marine Park by Big Boat from Koh Samui?
+
Around 20 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Koh Samui can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Koh Samui and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Explore Angthong National Marine Park by Big Boat from Koh Samui start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Koh Samui within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Koh Samui?
+
On Outty we rank every Koh Samui experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Angthong National Marine Park VIP Small Group Tour, Cooking Class in Koh Samui with Micro Organic Garden, Half Day Elephant Home Sanctuary in Samui. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Koh Samui?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Koh Samui?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
