    What you'll see and do

    1. Imouzzer Kandar

To reach Ifrane, we cross the small town of Immouzer in Kandar, which is very popular in summer for its more temperate climate than that of Fez. Then we make a detour by the surprising lake Daiet Aoua: we can admire either the surrounding hills which are reflected in its waters, or riders who take it for a field games.

    2. Ifrane

When we arrive in Ifrane, we are surprised by the unusual aspect of this city. With its sloping roofs, its chimneys topped with enormous stork nests, its abundant flower beds, its chestnut trees, the city resembles a small corner of Europe. The route continues to the Michlifen and Jebel Habri ski resorts.

    3. Azrou

Then going down towards Azrou, we stop at the foot of the Goureau cedar. There, we can sometimes see some of the loot that live in this forest. Finally, after admiring the green roofs of the square Azrou center, the rock (azrou in Berber) the work of woodworkers, it's back to Fez. This walk can last half a day or a little more depending on the time spent admiring the various landscapes: forests of holm oaks, cedars, cultivated fields among stones, orchards.

Beautiful picnic among the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas

Amazing hike and picnic! Unfortunately we did not have as much time as we wanted to explore the Middle Atlas, Najim was flexible and helped us make the most of our day!

Response from the operator: Hi "So glad you enjoyed the hike and picnic! The Middle Atlas has so much to offer — hopefully next time you'll have more time to explore it fully. Najim will be happy to hear your kind words!"

Au plaisir de vous accueillir à nouveau pour une autre excursion de qualité !

    +

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Fez can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Fez and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Fez?

    +

On Outty we rank every Fez experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Day Trip to Chefchaouen from Fez ( instagram /Photos ), 2 Days Desert Tour from Fes to Fes/Marrakech via Erg Chebbi, Fes To Marrakech : 3 Days Tour Via The Desert Of Merzouga & Camel. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Fez?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Fez?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
