Excellent Day in Fes
Traveler from the USA here - I couldn't have been more happy with the service provided by this agency. From the minute I stepped off the train in fes, there was constant communication about the plan ahead. The day starts with a clean, spacious (with chargers) car picking you up on time. We get to the Medina and I had no idea what to expect but with every stop I learned so much. The guide spends the first half of the tour (~2 hours) walking thru various specific hubs I.e. herbs areas, copper area, food market zone, etc. Everyone knows the guide so you always feel safe and get the sense that you're doing things other people couldn't have. Before lunch we stopped at a world famous rug fabrication building - they must've brought out 80 tugs and showed us different styles (super cool). Second half of the day gets better. The guide takes you to the leather district with a private showcase of the tannery (google it!), the linen fabrication zone, & other shops. Mind you the guide is extremely patient the whole time. We left the Medina and got to see a lookout point of Fes at the perfect time of day. The guide returned us to the hotel. All in all, highly recommended this agency. They are dedicated to what they do, know the right people, & overall are very professional from the start.

The Genie of Fez
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Bebken Travel in Fez. What began as a simple tour booking turned into one of the most meaningful travel experiences I have ever had. We were originally connected through GetYourGuide for a tour of the Medina. Before we even met, our guide reached out to me on WhatsApp, introduced himself, and told me that if we needed anything at all while we were in Fez, we should contact him. I had no idea how important those words would become. Later that night, I was bitten by a cat. Because of the rabies risk in Morocco, I was extremely worried. I sent him a message explaining what had happened, and from that moment on, he became so much more than a tour guide. He picked me up, took me to a local clinic, helped arrange the treatment and vaccination series I needed, stayed with me, and translated everything so I understood exactly what was happening. Then my sister became ill. Once again, he stepped in immediately, took her to a doctor, and translated for her. A short time later, I became even more seriously ill and needed hospital care. I had travel insurance, but the authorization process was complicated and had to go through Egypt before being approved for treatment in Morocco. I was extremely sick and needed help quickly. Bebken Travel used their local knowledge and relationships to help get me into the hospital, where I was able to receive IV fluids, medication, and the care I needed without unnecessary delay. Then, unbelievably, my sister lost her passport. They helped arrange transportation all the way to Casablanca so she could obtain an emergency replacement. I truly do not know what we would have done without them. Throughout everything, they cared about us as people, not simply as customers. We were three Americans traveling in a foreign country, dealing with illness, medical emergencies, transportation problems, and stressful situations, and they continually made us feel protected and supported. There were even times when getting to and from our riad through the narrow Medina alleys was difficult. They arranged for people to meet us, walk with us through the alleys, and make sure we safely reached our transportation. That level of care meant more to us than I can possibly explain. And of course, the actual tours were wonderful. We experienced the Atlas Mountains, explored the Medina, visited a traditional Berber cave home, museums, beautiful cafés and colorful bazaars, and saw authentic tanneries, rug-making workshops, pottery shops, and so much of the incredible craftsmanship and beauty Morocco has to offer. Our driver, Hamza, deserves special recognition. We jokingly called him our “genie and our bodyguard” because it seemed that no matter what happened, Hamza was there. He made us feel safe, comfortable, and looked after every step of the way. This company went far beyond anything anyone could reasonably expect from a tour company. They became our helpers, translators, advocates, protectors, and friends during some very frightening moments. If you are traveling to Fez or anywhere they provide services, please use Bebken Travel. I would recommend them to travelers from absolutely anywhere in the world. You can find plenty of companies that will show you Morocco. Bebken Travel showed us Morocco — and then took care of us when we needed someone most. Five stars does not even begin to describe what they did for us. We will never forget them.
