Beautiful setting with amazing food
We did the Hanami cherry blossom evening tour along the canal at Naka Megura. The setting was gorgeous. Wes took us to a restaurant we never would have found on our own and introduced us not only to new foods but tips on etiquette at the table in Japan. We had a fantastic night then walking the canal and grabbing some snacks and drinks. Perfect evening
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience with us! We're so glad you enjoyed the Hanami cherry blossom evening tour at Naka Megura. It's wonderful to hear that Wes was able to introduce you to hidden gems and gave you valuable tips on Japanese dining etiquette. The combination of the beautiful scenery, delicious food, and local insights makes for a truly memorable experience. We're thrilled it was a perfect evening for you, and hope to welcome you again soon!

Not worth it
Do not waste your $$$ go on your own and you will have an amazing time. Guide was horrible. We stood in an ally for half the time. You will not be able to pick your own food.

No show!
This company is very unreliable. They cancelled our tour 24 hours before we were scheduled to go. They said the tour guide was sick. Seems like they should have a back up plan. Very poor customer service.
Response from the operator: So sorry to read this review we really are in this business because we love sharing the best of Japan with our guests. I know how disappointing it is when plans fall through. This was not, however, a No Show as we did inform you in advance. We usually have a lot of redundancy and extra guides we can reschedule however the Cherry blossom time is our busiest time of year and we were totally sold out for tours on your evening with all hands on deck we did try to schedule an alternative guide. We were also concerned to send a guide not feeling their best as we don't want to make our guests sick as well. We respect your opinion but also fee It is a bit unfair to give us a one star review as we refunded the cost of your tour and before we cancelled we tried our best to find a substitute guide for the night. This time of year we work hard to keep up with demand and hosted more than 2000 guests in just one month. We try our best and we are sorry that your guide was ill. Thank you for the feedback we take all complaints seriously but we also know we only cancelled as a last resort after working hard to reschedule.

Evening Hanami (Cherry Blossom) Experience with a Local: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tokyo.
How much does Evening Hanami (Cherry Blossom) Experience with a Local cost?
+
Prices start at $112 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tokyo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Evening Hanami (Cherry Blossom) Experience with a Local take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tokyo is not rushed.
Is Evening Hanami (Cherry Blossom) Experience with a Local worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.7/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tokyo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Evening Hanami (Cherry Blossom) Experience with a Local?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Evening Hanami (Cherry Blossom) Experience with a Local suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Evening Hanami (Cherry Blossom) Experience with a Local?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tokyo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tokyo and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Evening Hanami (Cherry Blossom) Experience with a Local start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tokyo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tokyo?
+
Tokyo is less a city than a stack of neighborhoods with completely different opening hours. A guided food crawl through Shinjuku's Omoide Yokocho gets you past the no-tourist curtains, while the day trips west to Hakone and Fuji need an early start to be worth the fare. Our ranking weighs guide quality heavily here, because in Tokyo the guide is the product. On Outty we rank every Tokyo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Best of Shinjuku: Izakaya Food Tour (3-4 Stops, 14+ Tastings), Matcha Making Class in Tokyo with Authentic Japanese Sweets Set, Tokyo: Asakusa Senso-ji Temple & Old Town Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tokyo?
+
Late March to May for blossom, October to November for clear Fuji views. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tokyo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
