About this experience
100% Tailor-made | Private | Off the beaten path | All inclusive On this one hour and a half open-air adventure, you can either choose to immerse yourself in the quaint Marrakech of the 1920s, discover the most authentic neighbourhoods of the Medina or enjoy a shot of greenery in the palm grove. With its ancient Art Deco buildings, its former open-air cinema, the very first hotel built in 1918 and its dusty clock shop, the 1920s Gueliz district testifies of the daily life during the former French Protectorate. A ride in History. If you decide to ride through the stunning Medina of Marrakech. Witness the local life in the Kasbah district, in the Mellah district or at the flea market in Bad El Khemiss taking place every Thursday and Sunday. In the palm grove, you will understand how this once fertile oasis, gave birth to the entire Tensift region almost a thousand years ago thanks to its ingenious underground irrigation systems.

Highlight of Marrakech
Best thing we’ve done in Marrakech! Really recommend and in particular we had a great guide and driver, Nabil. Really knowledgeable and curious and looked after us well (including being an absolute gent to my elderly mother who loved it). When we arrived, all the staff were lovely. Thank you.

Think Outside the Box and in the Sidecar
Absolutely amazing! What a cool way to experience Marrakech and learn about the different neighborhoods and history. Hussain, my driver / guide, was personable and knowledgeable and we would pull over in the different areas to talk about them and have photo ops. We also stopped for tea and further chats on Morocco and Marrakech history. I would highly recommend it. I did the 3 hour tour.

Insider motorcyle tour with Mahmoud
We trusted our hotel concierge with this idea and we are so glad that we did! Our guide, Mahmoud, was EXCELLENT. We saw so much of the city that we would never see on our own. He drove us through parts of the Medina that tourists do not visit. We saw a lot of "real life" - humbling for sure from a life perspective. We loved being on the motorcycle sidecar. Great experience. Highly recommend!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing this! We’re thrilled Mahmoud helped you discover a side of Marrakech that often stays hidden from visitors. That’s exactly what we love about exploring by sidecar: getting beyond the obvious, meeting the city as it really lives, and coming home with a few stories you’d never find in a guidebook. We’ll make sure Mahmoud sees your kind words. Thank you for the recommendation!

Amazing adventure through the streets of Marrakech
What an absolutely amazing experience! We drove through neighborhoods and down avenues at night, dodging traffic and seeing the vibrant nightlife of Marrakesh. We saw neighborhoods outside the tourist areas and learned about daily life outside the Medina. Stopped at a local cafe in an area I would never have known about and had the most delicious street food. Our drivers took us directly back to our hotel. This is appropriate for people of all ages; we were a group ranging from 16 to 75! My two teenage daughters had a blast with Elmehdi as their driver and he took such good care with them. He shared his passion for Marrakesh culture with us at each stop, and answered my daughter’s many questions about Islam. Our other guides Emmanuel and Sharaf were amazing and so informative as we passed by the sights and neighborhood scenes. This was not a strenuous activity. One person in the sidecar and one on the back (which was the best spot); our ride was just with our party and was customized to our interests. Highly recommend!!
Response from the operator: What a wonderful review — thank you! We love that your group, from 16 to 75, got to experience Marrakech in such a lively and personal way. The street food stop, the nighttime neighborhoods and all those conversations about daily life and culture are exactly what make these rides special. We’ll make sure Elmehdi, Emmanuel and Sharaf see your kind words. And yes — the back seat does have its fans!

Good time and great way to experience the city in a different way
Great time. Sunset ride out of the Medina to an incredible view and watch the sun go down then return to Medina for rooftop tea over the city and the light lowers. all while getting to ride in awesome motorcycle sidecars squeezing through alleys and zipping around the city. Great guides, friendly and informative, and a lot of fun.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this wonderful message! We are delighted to read that you enjoyed your sunset ride through Marrakech. It was a real pleasure to share this adventure with you. Our insiders will be very happy to know that you enjoyed their company too :) We hope to welcome you again soon for another ride, in Marrakech, France… or wherever the road decides to take us next!

Essential Ride by sidecar (Marrakech off the beaten path) 1h30: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marrakech.
How much does Essential Ride by sidecar (Marrakech off the beaten path) 1h30 cost?
+
Prices start at $110 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marrakech usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Essential Ride by sidecar (Marrakech off the beaten path) 1h30 take?
+
Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marrakech is not rushed.
Is Essential Ride by sidecar (Marrakech off the beaten path) 1h30 worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 355 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Marrakech, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Essential Ride by sidecar (Marrakech off the beaten path) 1h30?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Essential Ride by sidecar (Marrakech off the beaten path) 1h30 suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 2. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 1.5-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Essential Ride by sidecar (Marrakech off the beaten path) 1h30?
+
Around 124 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marrakech can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marrakech and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Essential Ride by sidecar (Marrakech off the beaten path) 1h30 start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marrakech within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Marrakech?
+
On Outty we rank every Marrakech experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Agafay Desert Quad Bike Camel Ride and Dinner Show, Best Marrakech to Fes Sahara Desert Tour with Camp & Camel Trek, Agafay Desert Package, Quad Bike, Camel Ride and Dinner Show. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Marrakech?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Marrakech?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
