Very good
I had an amazing experience on the hike to Laguna Esmeralda. That place is truly beautiful. Ramón was an excellent guide and Daniel drove us there safely.

Don't book this tour if...
Don't book this tour if you are arriving on a cruise ship, unless you are absolutely sure you arrive and can get off the ship by 9:30am.
Response from the operator: We are very sorry that you were unable to take your tour. However, it is important to note that we offer a regular service with set schedules and routes. We adhere to a strict timetable out of respect for our other passengers. If you require an activity that specifically fits your schedule, we suggest booking a private tour.

Beautiful lagoon and cute birds
Great guide, very beautiful landscape. Group was 50% spanish and 50% north american. Could feed small birds from my hand with nuts. 10/10 would do again

Good hike in the snow!
This isn’t a difficult hike but you do need to take it seriously (it had been snowing that morning)! The tour operator rightly insisted on boots (not trail shoes) which we hired for around £6. Our guide was very good and informative. Always a pleasure to hike in a group.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your review! We’re happy you had a good time hiking with us, even with the fresh snow. We truly appreciate your understanding about the importance of proper boots—your safety matters to us. Wonderful to hear that you enjoyed both the guide and the group experience. Looking forward to hiking with you again!

Tough memorable hike with snow and mud
Tough trekking with snow, slush and mid. Nicholas did great job..if we didnt rent the water proof boots and clothes from Cambre, it would have been a disastrous trekking. You need to be conditioned to tackle this wet terrain. Check the weather and conditions.
Response from the operator: Thanks a lot for sharing your experience! 🌧️ We’re glad you enjoyed the trek and that Nicolas took good care of you. Great tip about the gear — it really makes a difference in those wet conditions. Hope to see you on another adventure soon! 🏔️

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Ushuaia.
How much does Emerald Lagoon Trekking from Ushuaia – Small Group cost?

Prices start at $95 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Ushuaia usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Emerald Lagoon Trekking from Ushuaia – Small Group take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Ushuaia is not rushed.
Is Emerald Lagoon Trekking from Ushuaia – Small Group worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 82 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 92 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Ushuaia, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Emerald Lagoon Trekking from Ushuaia – Small Group?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Emerald Lagoon Trekking from Ushuaia – Small Group suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Emerald Lagoon Trekking from Ushuaia – Small Group?
+
Around 32 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Ushuaia can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Ushuaia and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Emerald Lagoon Trekking from Ushuaia – Small Group start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Ushuaia within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Ushuaia?
+
On Outty we rank every Ushuaia experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Vinciguerra Glacier Trekking and Premium Floe Lagoon, King Crab Route 4WD Off Road with lunch in Puerto Almanza, Tierra del Fuego National Park – Small Groups. Optional Train. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Ushuaia?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Ushuaia?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
