Simply the BEST!

This is the best ATV tour in the area. Loved the views, the scenery and the route! I hate when you go between cars and city streets, not the case at all. We all had a great time!!

Response from the operator: Thanks for joining us, we hope you come back soon

Poor communication, hidden fees, and lack of preparedness, but a lot of fun with an excellent guide/employee

Booked two tickets for 85 USD with myself and a family member. Pickup was nice and easy, and there are a variety of options for pickup location through Bucerias and PV. We arrived at the site where we were offered the use of bathroom. However, the lack of preparedness was a bit off-putting, and we were also told that we would have to pay a 200 peso/person/ATV nonrefundable fee only upon arrival, otherwise we would be taken back to the pick-up point. As this fee was listed nowhere on TripAdvisor or in our direct text communications with the staff, I since received a refund for the amount of 400 pesos. Additionally, none of the ATV’s (we needed only two) were functioning upon our arrival. The guide Alfredo (who was excellent, and was handling conditions I believe to be outside of his control) attempted to get one of the ATV’s working for the better part of 45 minutes. It seemed to be dead, and he replaced it with another one which would actually start up. However, I was informed not to turn this one off during the adventure as it may not start again. Again, a bit off-putting as this would mean I’d be stuck in the middle of a rainforest without any transportation. This ATV did die about 3 times throughout the adventure, but it luckily came back on after Alfredo tinkered with it on the trail. All in all, it was a wonderful and fun experience, albeit not very safe, as the roads are in very poor condition, and hidden fees were attached with we only were informed of after a 25 minute drive from Bucerias was done. This would be more frustrating for someone being picked up at PV, as it is much farther away from the site. Future bookers beware; confirm if there are any fees not listed on TripAdvisor or within the booking confirmation, and also confirm that you will have a working ATV upon your arrival, as it seemed for a bit that we would not be able to go on the adventure due to the lack of preparedness.

Response from the operator: Thank you, Joshua, for taking the time to share such detailed feedback, and especially for recognizing Alfredo and the experience itself. You are correct that the MXN $200 Damage Protection Fee should have been clearly disclosed before your arrival. At the time of your booking, that information was not adequately displayed in the TripAdvisor/Viator listing or in our pre-activity communications. We refunded the MXN $400 you paid, and since your visit we have updated our ATV listings, booking information and customer communications so this mandatory fee is clearly stated before guests arrive. We also take your comments regarding the ATVs seriously. The delay in preparing two functioning vehicles and the repeated issue with one ATV during your ride were not the level of preparation we expect from ourselves. We have reviewed this internally as part of our vehicle preparation procedures. We are glad that, despite those issues, you enjoyed the adventure and had such a positive experience with Alfredo. Your feedback has directly helped us improve how we communicate with guests and prepare for future tours. Thank you again for visiting Xtreme Jaguar.

The reviews for this tour...

The reviews for this tour came highly recommended; however, our experience was not the same. Our driver arrived early for pickup, which we appreciated since we were ready early as well. Unfortunately, some of the ATVs were not operating properly and would shut off shortly after starting. We were also informed of a non-refundable charge only after booking, which should have been clearly disclosed in the listing beforehand. Our guide was very friendly, but he was not very attentive to our group while we were riding behind him. At one point, my daughter actually fell off the ATV without him noticing. Overall, while there were a few positive aspects, I would choose a different tour company next time.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback, we will make sure to take note of your comments for future guests. Are really sorry to hear that your experience was not completely acceptable.

Excellent day trip adventure

Great experience! They picked us up from our hotel, very friendly and lots of info on the area. ATVs were nice and fast, the jungle was dry and dusty, standard for May. We saw cool birds and plants, very scenic, had a great time and we felt like great friends with guides by the end of the trip!

Response from the operator: Thanks for riding with us, we hope to see you again, perhaps during rainy season so you can experience the change.

It is Extreme

It is mucho fun and it is extreme! Our guides were great in keeping us safe but still having fun! If this is your first time doing ATV I would make think about this one! I’m no expert but I’ve done ATVs before but it tested my skills! I would definitely do it again and highly recommend it to those thrill seekers and adrenaline junkies!

Response from the operator: Hi, thanks for riding with us and we hope that you had a great time. We do have trails for every type or rider, our guides make sure that all visitors have fun and enjoy a safe experience.

El Mirador Jungle ATV Tour – Ride Single: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Puerto Vallarta.

How much does El Mirador Jungle ATV Tour – Ride Single cost?

+

Prices start at $1600 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Puerto Vallarta usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does El Mirador Jungle ATV Tour – Ride Single take?

+

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Puerto Vallarta is not rushed.

Is El Mirador Jungle ATV Tour – Ride Single worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 62 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Puerto Vallarta, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule El Mirador Jungle ATV Tour – Ride Single?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is El Mirador Jungle ATV Tour – Ride Single suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 16. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 3-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book El Mirador Jungle ATV Tour – Ride Single?

+

Around 22 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Puerto Vallarta can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Puerto Vallarta and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does El Mirador Jungle ATV Tour – Ride Single start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Puerto Vallarta within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Puerto Vallarta?

+

On Outty we rank every Puerto Vallarta experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Winner 2026 Downtown Vallarta Food Tour with Vallarta Food Tours, Signature Taco Tour in PV with Vallarta Eats, Food & Mixology Tour:Tequila,Tacos, Mezcal and Agave Cocktails. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Puerto Vallarta?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Puerto Vallarta?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
