What you'll see and do
Bruton Parish Episcopal Church
The flickering candlelight of this 17th-century church hides a chilling history of wartime burials and unmarked graves beneath its floors. Visitors have heard phantom footsteps echo through the pews, while thermal imaging has detected unexplained cold spots at the altar. Is it the spirits of lost soldiers, or something more sinister lingering in the sacred halls? Bruton Parish Church Cemetery, the centuries-old graveyard, also holds the restless spirits of Williamsburg’s earliest settlers, with eerie whispers often captured on EVP recordings. Some claim to see shadowy figures drifting between the tombstones, including a woman in colonial dress who vanishes into thin air. Bring your ghost-hunting equipment—many have reported their EMF detectors spiking near unmarked graves.

Governor's Palace
This grand estate once witnessed the tragic deaths of wounded Revolutionary War soldiers, their cries still heard in the dead of night. Paranormal investigators have recorded sudden temperature drops and strange anomalies on spirit boxes near the ballroom. Will your ghost-hunting gear pick up the presence of those who never left their posts? Join us and uncover the old structure of the Governor's Palace that was rebuilt in the 1930s after being destroyed by fire in 1781. During repair, they discovered more than 150 skeletons on the ground, in contrast to many of the other buildings.
24 minutes here
Known as one of the most haunted houses in America, this eerie mansion has a history of death, despair, and ghostly encounters. Guests have reported poltergeist activity, with objects moving on their own and doors slamming shut without explanation. If you dare, set up your night vision camera—you may catch a glimpse of the specters that still roam its halls.
24 minutes here
Once a place of colonial gatherings and wartime chaos, the Market Square is now a hotbed of supernatural activity. Visitors have captured strange light anomalies near the Powder Magazine, where soldiers once guarded munitions and met untimely deaths. Use your dowsing rods here—many believe they can guide you to the restless spirits still trapped beneath the cobblestone streets.
24 minutes here
Once home to criminals, pirates, and the condemned, the Williamsburg Jail still echoes with the moans of those who met their fate here. Paranormal teams have captured chilling EVP recordings of desperate voices pleading for release. Will your spirit box reveal the last words of the long-forgotten prisoners?

Great time, lots of info
It was a great time. The small size of the group and our guide allowed us to spend good amount of time at the locations, and we got alot of good ghost-hunting data and information
Response from the operator: We really appreciate your review! We’re glad the small group setting and your guide’s attention made the experience memorable and educational. We’ll pass along your praise and hope to welcome you on another tour soon!

Fun Night Out!
We had a great time! Jerry was our tour guide - he was very knowledgeable, kind and made sure everyone was having a good time! I also like that Jerry made sure everyone had their “fill” of a haunted area before moving us on to the next one. We only wish we could have had access to more equipment, rather than just an EMF detector.
Response from the operator: We really appreciate your review! It’s fantastic to hear that Jerry’s guidance and care made your tour memorable. We’ll pass along your kind words and hope to see you again—maybe next time with even more equipment options!

Why this scores 62
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Edge of Midnight Witching Hour Williamsburg Ghost Hunt w/ Gear: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Williamsburg.
How much does Edge of Midnight Witching Hour Williamsburg Ghost Hunt w/ Gear cost?
+
Prices start at $43 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Williamsburg usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Edge of Midnight Witching Hour Williamsburg Ghost Hunt w/ Gear take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Williamsburg is not rushed.
Is Edge of Midnight Witching Hour Williamsburg Ghost Hunt w/ Gear worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Williamsburg, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Edge of Midnight Witching Hour Williamsburg Ghost Hunt w/ Gear?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Edge of Midnight Witching Hour Williamsburg Ghost Hunt w/ Gear suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Edge of Midnight Witching Hour Williamsburg Ghost Hunt w/ Gear?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Williamsburg can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Williamsburg and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Edge of Midnight Witching Hour Williamsburg Ghost Hunt w/ Gear start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Williamsburg within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Williamsburg?
+
Williamsburg centres on Colonial Williamsburg passes, Jamestown and Yorktown history tours, lantern-lit ghost walks and theme park tickets a few minutes away. On Outty we rank every Williamsburg experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full Day Historic Guided Tour to Jamestown and Yorktown with Lunch, Magic Happens at The Wagsters Magic Theatre, Williamsburg Ghosts, Witches and Pirates Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Williamsburg?
+
April to June and September to October. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Williamsburg?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
