What you'll see and do
Piazza dei Miracoli
After about an hour's drive from the port of La Spezia, we'll arrive in Pisa. On Pisa's “Campo dei Miracoli” you will find not only the world’s most famous bell tower but also the cathedral, baptistery, and cemetery, which are all remarkable monuments. Although our visit of Pisa is brief, there is time to climb the Leaning Tower; it only takes 15 minutes. You'll still have time to see how many creative shots you can get of your group "holding up" the Leaning Tower.
45 minutes here
Lucca
After about a 30-minute drive from Pisa to Lucca, we will take a panoramic drive around the ancient fortification wall before heading into the historic center. Your driver will take you around the historic center of Lucca to give you a lay of the land and some background info on the main highlights, which include San Frediano, Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, Piazza Napoleone, San Michele in Foro, the cathedral of San Martino. At San Martino, you'll have the option of entering the church where the stupendous tomb of Ilaria del Carretto is on display (small fee, paid onsite). Some say it is the most beautiful funerary monument in Italy, a marble sculpture on par with Michelangelo's David. If you're in need of a little physical activity, you can rent bikes and cruise the wall of simply go for a walk under the big shade trees. Climbing Guinigi Tower is another great way to get your blood going, and it's do-able even for small children (as opposed to the Leaning Tower of Pisa, minimum age 8).

Best of the best !
My family just returned from Italy and France and finally have a moment to give back in return for the number of suggestions I took away. The biggest being using Papillon Service (and the amazing Sharon) for most of our tours. We leveraged her services and top notch guides and drivers in three stops: Marseille, France; Nice, France and the surrounding areas; and then a blockbuster tour of the hills and cities of Tuscany and Florence. We were a party of seven with three teens, and from pickup to drop off we were entertained, educated, and well served. If you find yourself in Italy or France, do yourself a favor and call Sharon with Papillon Service and go the easy way!

Amazing private driver and incredible lunch
Sharon custom designed this trip for us as we did not think we would enjoy Pisa & would rather spend our time in the villages. Well, it turned out to be just the perfect amount of time in Pisa and then an amazing lunch and adventure in Luca. Going through Papio versus using Royal Carribean’s excursion saved us about 50% and we never got on a bus with 25 other people it was just us and The driver. We talked to people on the cruise who spent $400 a person to do the same thing and this was less than half of that Sharon will tell you if it’s worth doing based on the port you are arriving & you won’t waste time driving and that is worth it by itself!!

Awesome private tour/excursion from Livorno port !
Everything was perfect from our initial reaching out to Sharon to communicating and confirmations to a terrific guide who led the way and made it all we wanted it to be and with ease !! Highly recommend and would book again in a heartbeat !

Everyone was Happy
Absolutely the best part of our vacation was when we were being taken care of regally by Papillon! The drivers/guides are attentive, fun, knowledgeable and personable. We used Papillon for three tours (LaSpezia, Genoa and Rome) and each experience was better than the last. Our group of 14 (ages 8-adult) all rate them "best ever!"

Four family tours and happy with them all
We did four tours with Papillon on our recent holiday. (Three in Italy and one in Athens) Everyone was fantastic. The drivers showed up on time and were always professional and helpful. Sharon was really good to deal with and always promptly answered questions. I felt like nothing was too complicated including a transfer trip from Venice to Florence via Marenello for the Ferrari Museum. We have four children and really enjoyed knowing that everything was taken care of.

Why this scores 56
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
EASY Pisa & Lucca 7-Hour Private Shore Excursion from La Spezia: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for La Spezia.
How much does EASY Pisa & Lucca 7-Hour Private Shore Excursion from La Spezia cost?
+
Prices start at $155 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in La Spezia usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does EASY Pisa & Lucca 7-Hour Private Shore Excursion from La Spezia take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in La Spezia is not rushed.
Is EASY Pisa & Lucca 7-Hour Private Shore Excursion from La Spezia worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable family friendly in La Spezia, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule EASY Pisa & Lucca 7-Hour Private Shore Excursion from La Spezia?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is EASY Pisa & Lucca 7-Hour Private Shore Excursion from La Spezia suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book EASY Pisa & Lucca 7-Hour Private Shore Excursion from La Spezia?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in La Spezia can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in La Spezia and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does EASY Pisa & Lucca 7-Hour Private Shore Excursion from La Spezia start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central La Spezia within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in La Spezia?
+
On Outty we rank every La Spezia experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include La Spezia: Taste Cinque Terre on a Food Tour by Do Eat Better, Portovenere & Three Islands Small Group Boat Tour from La Spezia, 5 Islands from La Spezia: full day boat trip with swimming stops. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit La Spezia?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in La Spezia?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
