In this 9-hour tour from Lisbon you will be driven south in comfort across the iconic 25th of April bridge through beautiful landscapes towards The Alentejo, Portugal’s largest region and maybe the wildest. A region lined by a rugged coast to the west and filled with farmland, cork oaks, vineyards, olive groves, and other crops and livestock.. You will explore Évora. Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Évora is known as a “city-museum” filled with culturally significant landmarks and it is marked with a notable history. It is also the Alentejo’s regional capital and largest city. After visiting the main attractions of Evora, you will visit a wine producing estate where you will have lunch and a wine tasting. Then it is time to see how cork is extracted and produced before heading to another estate where one of Portugal most famous brand of olive oil is produced. Time for a tasting, of course, before heading back to Lisbon revitalised.

Excellent tour, guide, and value
Luis from Rogue Agent was an excellent tour guide. He was so genuine, funny, and went out of his way to give us a meaningful experience. He knew a lot about our tour and the Alentejo. And if he didn’t know, he’d say so rather than give us a wrong answer. I’m very sensitive to motion sickness and I can attest that Luis is an excellent driver too. Completely recommend and would ask for him next time.
Response from the operator: Nancy thank you! (you should have told me bout the motion sickness :))

Perfect day trip from Lisbon!
Luis was the perfect guide for my two daughters and me. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and was able to give us so much more historical content than we expected. Highly recommended!
Response from the operator: Carmelita, thank you so much for your kind words. Very honestly I enjoyed your company a lot. You are all wonderful. Luis

Great day despite bad weather
We were very much looking forward to this tour but unfortunately the weather wasn't that great especially by Portuguese standards we were told. However it turned out to be a wonderful day out. Evora is beautiful. We also got the chance to learn everything about cork and olive oil and buy REAL cork items since a lot of it in the corner shops in Lisbon seems to be fake. Great lunch (be careful if you're a vegetarian since there aren't a lot of options and that applies to Portugal in general) and amazing wines with a very informative and enthusiastic presentation from Mariana at Ribafreixo (?) estate. Our guide Paolo was also very polite and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

Classy tour
I had a really good experience with Rogue Agent last time I was in Portugal so I asked them if they could pick me and my parents up from Faro and take us to Lisbon with some stops on the way. Luis was very accommodating and he organized a tour of Evora for us and a classy lunch + wine tasting which made us snooze all the way to Lisbon! My parents also loved it.

Big disappointment
This company canceled my tour as I was boarding the plane to Portugal! They didn’t have enough people but if I wanted to pay an additional 100 euro that would take us.hummmm beware. I searched around and found a winery close to Evora and just took a taxi.
Response from the operator: Misleading "review". Internet trolling. Has been reported. FACT : This person had a booking for 2 people on the "small group tour" option. FACT : The cancellation policy on this option states clearly that the tour will not take place if minimum number of passengers is not met. This is universal for these types of non-private tours. All operators have this policy. In our case it is impossible not to read it or to miss it when booking as the reader can testify by simulating a booking on this page. FACT : We warned this person 3 days before the date of the tour that it might not take place because so far at that time there weren't enough passengers. FACT : When we warned the person we laid out the alternatives which were a) US cancelling and issuing an immediate refund so that she could make alternative arrangements or b) Keeping her booking as it was in order for her not to have any hassle of unbooking and then booking again (this time the more expensive "private tour" option since they were the only 2 travellers ), and paying the difference (100 Eur - special discount price) to the tour guide. FACT : She cancelled! FICTION :All the rest from the allegation that WE cancelled to the not so veiled insinuation that we were somehow being dishonest.

Why this scores 53
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Évora - Inside the Olive Oil, Wine, and Cork Triangle (Private Tour): questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.
How much does Évora - Inside the Olive Oil, Wine, and Cork Triangle (Private Tour) cost?
+
Prices start at $481 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Évora - Inside the Olive Oil, Wine, and Cork Triangle (Private Tour) take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.
Is Évora - Inside the Olive Oil, Wine, and Cork Triangle (Private Tour) worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Évora - Inside the Olive Oil, Wine, and Cork Triangle (Private Tour)?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Évora - Inside the Olive Oil, Wine, and Cork Triangle (Private Tour) suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Évora - Inside the Olive Oil, Wine, and Cork Triangle (Private Tour)?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Évora - Inside the Olive Oil, Wine, and Cork Triangle (Private Tour) start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Lisbon?
+
On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Lisbon?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Lisbon?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
