Fun, with caveats
Appreciated the opportunity to ride an ebike and see how they work. Wish the instruction would have been more complete, including how to use the kickstand and to turn the bike off when you get off to avoid it accidentally taking off. Tour leader should carry a basic first aid kit: someone fell, and needed to clean and bandaid a wound, but he had nothing. Other riders had supplies. Would have preferred a longer ride and less history, especially at the first stop.
Response from the operator: Dear K, Thank you for sharing your feedback about your recent experience with Buffalo Bike Tours. We genuinely value all forms of input as they help us continually improve our services. We would like to respond to some of the concerns you mentioned in your review. We apologize if you felt that the instructions on how to ride an e-bike were not clear enough. Safety is of the utmost importance to us, and we did spend approximately 10 minutes before the tour briefing all participants on the proper operation and safety measures for the e-bikes. Additionally, we included detailed instructions in the customer portal, which was emailed and texted to all participants prior to the ride. We understand that everyone's learning style is different, but we fully expect participants to pay attention to in-person instruction and review the provided materials to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. I don't know much more instruction we can provide. Regarding the first aid kit, we assure you that we did bring a fully equipped first aid kit on the tour. In the unfortunate event of an accident, we are prepared to provide immediate assistance. I'm not sure if you saw but Maria actually got a bandaid from the first aid kit and the participant took the bandaid and put it on her leg. I am not sure how you experienced something differently but the participant used our first aid kit and we are always prepared to handle a range of situations and administer appropriate aid when necessary. We apologize if the historical aspect of the tour did not meet your expectations. The tour you participated in was specifically designed as a historical exploration of the canals and waterways in Buffalo and was marketed as such. We received funding to provide this unique historical perspective, and it was indeed mandated by our contractual agreement with New York State. We understand that historical content might not appeal to everyone, and we do offer a variety of other tour options and opportunities for self-guided adventures on our e-bikes. As an option, you can rent e-bikes from us anytime and design your own ride. We genuinely value your feedback and encourage you to explore our other offerings or consider renting an e-bike to design your own personalized experience. If you have any further concerns or questions, please feel free to reach out to us directly. We are committed to continually enhancing our services and ensuring that every participant has a safe, enjoyable, and informative experience on our tours. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for a different adventure in the future. Best regards, Tour Guide Marc (and Maria)

I went on the E-Bikes on the canal. It was such a great experience. They bike ride was very easy especially with the e-bikes. The tour was very informative and engaging. They did a fantastic job to make it an enjoyable experience despite the weather not co-operating.

E-Bikes Riding in Buffalo New York: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Buffalo.
How much does E-Bikes Riding in Buffalo New York cost?
+
Prices start at $89 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Buffalo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does E-Bikes Riding in Buffalo New York take?
+
Plan for about 24 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Buffalo is not rushed.
Is E-Bikes Riding in Buffalo New York worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Buffalo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule E-Bikes Riding in Buffalo New York?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is E-Bikes Riding in Buffalo New York suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 24-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book E-Bikes Riding in Buffalo New York?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Buffalo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Buffalo and add a light layer if any part of the 24-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does E-Bikes Riding in Buffalo New York start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Buffalo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Buffalo?
+
Buffalo works as the American base for Niagara Falls day tours, plus Frank Lloyd Wright architecture visits, waterfront kayaking and wing-focused food tours. On Outty we rank every Buffalo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Best of Buffalo Double Decker Bus Tour, History Ride: The Best of Buffalo by Bike, Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural National Historic Site Admission and Guided Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Buffalo?
+
May to October, with the falls at their fullest in late spring. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Buffalo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
