Fabulous e-bike tour of Balboa Park
This excursion was so fun! My guide was Judy. She was wonderful and so patient. As an older person who has never riden an e-bike, Judy was phenomenal in making sure I was a safe rider before starting our excursion. Judy was knowledgeable and shared so much information on the park. I would highly recommend this tour.
Response from the operator: Hi Linda, Thank you so much for your kind words. I truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us. I love hearing that you had such a fun time exploring Balboa Park on the e-bike. It’s such a beautiful and historic area, and experiencing it that way really gives you a unique perspective. Judy is absolutely fantastic, and your feedback perfectly captures what makes her such a great guide. Her patience, care, and attention to safety, especially for first-time riders, is exactly what we strive for. I’m so glad she made you feel comfortable and confident before heading out, and that she was able to share so much of the park’s history along the way. Your recommendation truly means a lot to us. As a small, family-run business, reviews like yours help us continue doing what we love and taking great care of our guests. We would love to host you again anytime in San Diego, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, or Maui for another adventure. All The Best, Kenneth

E-Bike Tour Definitely a HIGHLIGHT!
Taking an eBike tour was definitely out of our element, but our tour guide (Kevin) made this one of the best highlights of our trip to San Diego. Considering we hadn't been on a bike in years, he first made sure we were comfortable with our bikes and took good care of us as we made our way through the city streets to Balboa Park. Once in Balboa, he was a wealth of knowledge! Thank you, Kevin, for making this a fun experience!
Response from the operator: Dear vikif489, Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful review. We are truly grateful that you chose to join us and so delighted to hear that your eBike tour with Kevin became one of the highlights of your trip. It means a lot to know that even though biking was outside your comfort zone, Kevin’s care, patience, and knowledge helped make the experience not only fun but memorable. Your kind words are such a gift to our team. Guests like you are the reason we love what we do, and we cannot thank you enough for trusting us with part of your San Diego adventure. We would be honored to host you again anytime, whether here in San Diego or at our locations in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, or Maui. All The Best, Kenneth

Awesome Amy E-Bike Tour Guide!
We did a private E Bike tour of Balboa Park and it's become a very memorable part of our San Diego trip! Amy was our tour guide. We call her awesome Amy because she was very patient and helpful as we navigated the downtown San Diego streets. It was my first time on an E-Bike and was a little more cautious then my husband. She had a great can-do attitude that gave me more confidence and helped me feel safe. Not to mention that she's a phenomenal, engaging story teller and taught us fun history about Balboa Park! The entire team was helpful from giving us directions to parking suggestions. The bikes are high tech. The gear was clean and they also gave us snacks and water. I highly recommend this tour company! Thank you.
Response from the operator: Dear alliejp_13, Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful review. We are thrilled to hear that your private E-Bike Tour of Balboa Park became such a memorable part of your San Diego trip. Amy will be overjoyed to know you dubbed her “Awesome Amy.” She truly has a gift for blending patience, safety, and storytelling, and we are so glad her can-do attitude helped you feel comfortable and confident on the E-Bike. It is wonderful to hear you enjoyed the seamless experience from our parking guidance to our top notch bikes, clean gear, and little touches like snacks and water. Providing engaging five star experiences is what our team strives for every day, and knowing you would highly recommend us means the world. We hope to welcome you back again soon, whether it is for another adventure in San Diego or at one of our sister locations in Los Angeles or Las Vegas. Thank you again for choosing us and for letting us be part of your trip. All The Best, Kenneth President & CEO Another Side Tours, Inc.

Why this scores 60
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
E-Bike Tour in Balboa Park: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for San Diego.
How much does E-Bike Tour in Balboa Park cost?
+
Prices start at $169 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in San Diego usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does E-Bike Tour in Balboa Park take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in San Diego is not rushed.
Is E-Bike Tour in Balboa Park worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 16 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in San Diego, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule E-Bike Tour in Balboa Park?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is E-Bike Tour in Balboa Park suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book E-Bike Tour in Balboa Park?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in San Diego can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in San Diego and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does E-Bike Tour in Balboa Park start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central San Diego within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in San Diego?
+
San Diego is an outdoor-first city: whale watching from December through April, La Jolla kayak and snorkel runs year round, harbour cruises and the USS Midway, plus Balboa Park museums when the marine layer sits low. We rank water operators on group ratios and gear quality, which is where the cheap La Jolla trips fall down. On Outty we rank every San Diego experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include USS Midway Museum Admission: Valid Any Date, Taste of Little Italy in San Diego, San Diego Whale Watching Cruise. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit San Diego?
+
March to May and September to November, either side of the June overcast. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in San Diego?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
