About this experience

Along country roads, among trulli, farmhouses and dry stone walls, I will show you the places I love and experience every day by pedaling together for 20 km (about 12 miles). We start from Alberobello, the capital of the trulli, towards Locorotondo, the most evocative village in the Valle d'Itria: where a tasty stop at a traditional local bakery awaits us. We will taste the typical Apulian focaccia freshly baked by Giovanni, accompanied by a glass of wine. Afterwards, before returning to Alberobello, we will stop at the pastry shop of Signora Maria to taste the almond sweets of our tradition. On the way back we will consume seasonal fruits, picking them directly from the trees (cherries, figs, fioroni, pears, blackberries, mulberries). It won't be a tourist experience, not a classic e-bike tour but a little adventure: local life, away from crowded places. *Minimum height required for participants 163 cm (5'4 ft)

What you'll see and do

  1. Itria Valley

Along countryside lanes , among Trulli, Masserie and dry-stone walls, I will show you the places I love and live in my everyday life. We will cycle together for 20 km (about 12 miles). We'll leave from Alberobello, capital of Trulli, heading to Locorotondo, one of the most stunning towns in Valle d'Itria. Here, we'll get to know the locals and stop by a traditional deli where we will have the chance to taste the typical Apulian focaccia, just baked by Giovanni, filled with your favorite charcuterie and vegetables and washed down by a glass of good wine or a drink of your choice. Then, before returning to Alberobello, we'll stop at Maria's bakery to eat some local almond cookies and along the way, we'll taste seasonal fruits, hand-picking right from the trees (cherries, fichi, fioroni, pears, blackberries and mulberries, depending on the season). Our tour ends with an amazing tasting of Apulian rosolii. (a typical homemade liqueur)

Beautiful and Enjoyable Bike Tour

We had an excellent experience on this bike tour. The guide was very friendly and enthusiastic. We went through some very lovely local bike baths on a beautiful ride through the countryside. We stopped at a local home to experience focaccia, wine, and pastries. What a real tree. I highly recommend this event.

Not what we expected …..

I have given this e-bike tour a low score as it didn’t live up to my expectation. I have taken several e-bike tours over the years and usually have found it a great way to see and learn about the area I’m visiting. This tour was more of a ride through the countryside. I was expecting to see and learn about Locorotondo and Alberobelo - we didn’t get to see the town where we met for the bikes and we were left for 20mins on our own to explore the second town. I may have completely the wrong expectation of the tour. I thought I’d highlight this to anyone else thinking of booking the tour. The visit to the trulli was very interesting but we didn’t need to spend so long there at the expense of learning about other aspects of this area of puglia. Our guide was extremely friendly and helpful - it just wasn’t the right tour for us!

Amazing Ride through countryside

Michele was an excellent guide! And the stop at Stefano’s house for wine and Foccacia was amazing! It really gave us the feeling of living in the Italian culture of Puglia! The bikes were excellent and the scenery magnificent! Would definitely recommend this trip.

Great biking tour in Puglia

Niccolo was a great tour guide who had planned out a fantastic bike ride through the Alberobello region. Loved the information and the few “pit-stops” along the way with one of the highlights visiting a local Italian couple on their farm for food & drinks.

E-Bike, Focaccia and Wine: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Alberobello & Locorotondo.

How much does E-Bike, Focaccia and Wine cost?

+

Prices start at $94 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Alberobello & Locorotondo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does E-Bike, Focaccia and Wine take?

+

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Alberobello & Locorotondo is not rushed.

Is E-Bike, Focaccia and Wine worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 79 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 65 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Alberobello & Locorotondo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule E-Bike, Focaccia and Wine?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is E-Bike, Focaccia and Wine suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 16. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 3-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book E-Bike, Focaccia and Wine?

+

Around 23 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Alberobello & Locorotondo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Alberobello & Locorotondo and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does E-Bike, Focaccia and Wine start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Alberobello & Locorotondo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Alberobello & Locorotondo?

+

On Outty we rank every Alberobello & Locorotondo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Monopoli Shared tour by Gozzo boat to the Polignano caves, Boat tour from Monopoli to the Polignano caves with aperitif, Alberobello Guided Segway and Mini Golf Cart Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Alberobello & Locorotondo?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Alberobello & Locorotondo?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
