Best value tour we’ve taken in Puglia

We just spent a superb day cycling with 8 others on an English speaking cycle tour in the countryside around Monopoly. There were four stops at private mansions, at ancient grotto where olives were pressed for hundreds of years You get to learn about the trees the varieties the oils and how the ground and the elements affect the final taste. It’s an amazing 4 to 5 hour tour where you learn and end up tasting the 7 varieties their family produces and you enjoy the company of others on the way. Above Antonella and Gianni are amazing generous hosts. If you’re in Puglia , this is a must do activity

Fascinating insight into Olive Oil Farming past and present, cycling through the Puglian Olive Oil Tree countryside

Highly recommend this trip, gentle cycle through Olive Groves down dusty Olive Farm tracks. See inside historic Grotto Churches, Olive Farms and old Olive Oil equipment. Very knowledgable and friendly guide who also has her own Olive Oil land so is really passionate about showing us the past and future challenges in Olive Oil farming. Great tasting afterwards as well, learnt a lot and had fun! Thank you

Response from the operator: Thanks Belinda!! :)

Fabulous authentic tour

We had a fabulous morning our riding in the countryside near Monopoli. Antonella is a fantastic guide - she is so passionate about the culture of Pulia and the history of the olive oil industry and how it has changed over many centuries. The tour visits farm properties that are not open to the public so it’s like touring with a local. The riding is easy and Antonella makes lots of stops along the way. At the end of the tour there is a great sampling of local products including olive oil in a shop in town.

Response from the operator: Thanks so much!!

If you take one tour in Puglia, choose this one!

This tour was unique. It combined cycling along the coast and through beautiful thousand-year old olive groves, very interesting history, learning about olive tree cultivation and oil production, and ends with a tasting back in Monopoli. Antonella and Gianni are warm, lovely people, and also very impressive entrepreneurs. I give this tour my very highest recommendation.

One of the best tours I have been on!

Outstanding! You will get a beautiful relaxing ride with amazing history. HIstory of the Monopoli area, history of important families and homes in the area and the history of olive trees and olive oil production. Additionally you will visit well preserved underground churches, and visit some olive tree gardens. and farms. You will also meet some great people along the way. Our guide, Antonella, was very personable and knowledgeable.

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Alberobello & Locorotondo.

How much does Bike oil tour in Monopoli cost?

+

Prices start at $75 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Alberobello & Locorotondo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Bike oil tour in Monopoli take?

+

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Alberobello & Locorotondo is not rushed.

Is Bike oil tour in Monopoli worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 83 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 52 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Alberobello & Locorotondo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Bike oil tour in Monopoli?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Bike oil tour in Monopoli suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 14. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Bike oil tour in Monopoli?

+

Around 18 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Alberobello & Locorotondo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Alberobello & Locorotondo and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Bike oil tour in Monopoli start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Alberobello & Locorotondo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Alberobello & Locorotondo?

+

On Outty we rank every Alberobello & Locorotondo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Monopoli Shared tour by Gozzo boat to the Polignano caves, Boat tour from Monopoli to the Polignano caves with aperitif, Alberobello Guided Segway and Mini Golf Cart Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Alberobello & Locorotondo?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Alberobello & Locorotondo?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
