    What you'll see and do

    1. Oudezijds Voorburgwal

Start your cruise in one of the oldest parts of the city. These narrow canals date back to the 14th century and are only accessible by small boats — a peaceful hidden corner of medieval Amsterdam.

      Pass by without stopping

    2. Drift through quiet canals once used by monks and merchants. Surrounded by 17th-century houses and bridges, this area still feels like the Amsterdam of centuries ago.

      Pass by without stopping

    3. Oude Kerk

Built in 1306, the Oude Kerk is Amsterdam’s oldest building. Hear stories of its transformation from a Catholic church to a Calvinist landmark — and its unexpected place in the middle of the Red Light District.

      Pass by without stopping

    5. NEMO Science Museum

Sail beneath the striking green rooftop designed by architect Renzo Piano. This building rises from the old shipyard docks where Amsterdam's industrial harbor once thrived.

    6. Het Scheepvaartmuseum| The National Maritime Museum

      Pass by without stopping

    10. Munt Tower (Munttoren)

Near the flower market, you’ll spot the Munttoren, once part of the city wall. In the 17th century, it was used to mint coins when the French blocked silver deliveries to the Dutch Republic.

      Pass by without stopping

    11. Magere Brug

This iconic white wooden drawbridge is one of the most romantic spots in the city. According to local legend, couples who kiss while passing under the Magere Brug will stay together forever. The original bridge was so narrow that two pedestrians could barely pass each other — giving it the nickname “Skinny Bridge.”

    Casual setting, cold beer!

The tour was casual and informative. The captain was talented and the cheese was good. We had rosé and cold beer with the cheese, which was refreshing since it was really hot out. They provided umbrellas to protect us from the sun, and there were only about 15 people on the boat, so there was a lot of opportunity to ask questions. I think one of the larger canal boat tours might pack more information into the tour, but I liked the casual setting of this boat, and we all walked away with some knew knowledge.

    1hr chill on the canal

Its short, but relaxing. Unlimited does not include alcoholic drinks. I suggest a boat tour with less flowers, you need to get up to take good pics.

    Ok

It was ok. Easy to find pickup location. Appreciate the cheese and crackers and the drinks. I would have appreciated more info about the city and less about contentious topics. I'm on vacation here to enjoy the area, and I want to forget about the other things.

    Fun and informative canal cruise

My husband and I enjoyed the canal cruise with Berta and Kim. Kim was wonderful at maneuvering the boat, while Berta served food and drink. Both young ladies gave informative commentary about Amsterdam as well as folklure that was humorous and entertaining.

Dutch Cheese & Drinks Guided Amsterdam Boat Tour, All Inclusive: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Amsterdam.

How much does Dutch Cheese & Drinks Guided Amsterdam Boat Tour, All Inclusive cost?

    +

Prices start at $15 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Amsterdam usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Dutch Cheese & Drinks Guided Amsterdam Boat Tour, All Inclusive take?

    +

Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Amsterdam is not rushed.

Is Dutch Cheese & Drinks Guided Amsterdam Boat Tour, All Inclusive worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 91 out of 100, which we label "90+ Club". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 1,009 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Amsterdam, and how flexible the cancellation terms are. Scoring 90 or above puts it in the Outty 90+ Club, the top tier of everything we rank.

Can I cancel or reschedule Dutch Cheese & Drinks Guided Amsterdam Boat Tour, All Inclusive?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Dutch Cheese & Drinks Guided Amsterdam Boat Tour, All Inclusive suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Dutch Cheese & Drinks Guided Amsterdam Boat Tour, All Inclusive?

    +

Around 353 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Amsterdam can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Amsterdam and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Dutch Cheese & Drinks Guided Amsterdam Boat Tour, All Inclusive start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Amsterdam within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Amsterdam?

    +

On Outty we rank every Amsterdam experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Amsterdam Canal Cruise with Local Guide and Small Group, Guided Bike Tour of Amsterdam's Highlights & Hidden Gems, Amsterdam: Luxury Canal Cruise including Cocktails & Snacks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Amsterdam?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Amsterdam?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
