About this experience
On this 3-hour food and drink tour in the Old City of Dubrovnik, discover authentic flavours and history guided by a licensed local expert. As much a history tour as a food tour, it weaves together centuries of culture and gastronomy through one of Europe's best-preserved medieval cities. You'll visit 4 spots along the way: a street food place, two traditional family-run restaurants and a dessert spot owned by a pastry chef who previously worked in a Michelin-starred restaurant. With over 10 tastings and three local wines paired throughout, you'll try recipes still cooked in Dubrovnik homes today, some prepared only on specific days of the year, and dishes rooted in 16th and 19th century tradition from the era of the Dubrovnik Republic. The tour ends with handcrafted desserts and a glass of local liqueur or coffee. Small groups keep things personal and unhurried.

Absolutely perfect tour
Anna was a fun and engaging tour guide. Her gastronomic picks combined with her knowledge of the history and customs of Dubrovnik made this tour extra special! The restaurants and the combinations of foods delivered a range of delicacies typical to Dubrovnik. Very delicious! And the portions and varieties of menus were perfect. I highly recommend this tour and this tour guide! My husband and our friends who dined with us share in my enthusiasm! It is well worth your time to take this tour!
Response from the operator: Dear Patricia, thank you so much for this fantastic review, it truly made my day! I loved sharing my gastronomic picks along with Dubrovnik’s history and customs with you and I’m so glad the food, portions and variety hit the mark for everyone. Thank you for such a generous recommendation, it means a lot that your husband and friends enjoyed it too! I hope to welcome you all back to Dubrovnik soon.

Can't miss tour!
Truly an amazing experience, the tour guide Anna was so knowledgeable about the city. It was like two tours in one, she talked about the vast history of Dubrovnik while also taking us to some amazing eateries. The food was delicious and the wine was plentiful. I'm not sure if we lucked out or if all of her tours are as intimate as ours was but it was just my partner and I and two others (whom we made quick friends with), but it added to the tour in my opinion. Anna got to know us all on a more personal level and it was just an overall 10/10 experience. I say if you're looking to book any tour this is the one to pick.
Response from the operator: Dear Bridget, thank you so much for this amazing review, it truly made my day! I loved being able to share Dubrovnik’s history while taking you to some of my favorite eateries. Thank you for such a generous recommendation, I hope to welcome you back to Dubrovnik again soon!

Exception food tour in Old Dubrovnik!.
This tour is exceptional. We ate at 3 different restaurants inside old Dubrovnik and one dessert place. Our guide was super knowledgeable about the area, food and traditions. We were the only two only the tour so we essentially had a private tour. Grateful to try local dishes steeped in rich tradition. Cannot recommend this tour enough!
Response from the operator: Dear Noreen, thank you so much for this lovely review! We’re delighted you enjoyed the three restaurants and dessert stop inside Old Dubrovnik, and that your guide’s knowledge of the area, food, and traditions made it feel like a private experience. Thank you for your recommendation, we hope to welcome you back to Dubrovnik soon!

Dubrovnik Food and Drink Walking Tour with a Local Guide: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Dubrovnik.
How much does Dubrovnik Food and Drink Walking Tour with a Local Guide cost?
+
Prices start at $166 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Dubrovnik usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Dubrovnik Food and Drink Walking Tour with a Local Guide take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Dubrovnik is not rushed.
Is Dubrovnik Food and Drink Walking Tour with a Local Guide worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 87 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 701 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Dubrovnik, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Dubrovnik Food and Drink Walking Tour with a Local Guide?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Dubrovnik Food and Drink Walking Tour with a Local Guide suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Dubrovnik Food and Drink Walking Tour with a Local Guide?
+
Around 245 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Dubrovnik can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Dubrovnik and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Dubrovnik Food and Drink Walking Tour with a Local Guide start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Dubrovnik within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Dubrovnik?
+
On Outty we rank every Dubrovnik experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Dubrovnik: Game of Thrones Walking Tour, Dubrovnik: 7 Caves & Blue Cave Speedboat Tour (4h), Panorama Zipline Experience in Dubrovnik. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Dubrovnik?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Dubrovnik?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
