David is a gem of Dublin
Our guide, David, was so fun and knowledgeable about Dublin City and Irish history! Immediately upon meeting him, we felt at ease and knew we would enjoy our time. We told him we had another tour (Guinness) right after, so he reversed some of the itinerary so that we would end up right where we needed to meet out next tour. He crammed so many highlights into our time together, and was very excited to show us all the hidden places rich in history! David was more than willing to converse and answer questions. Safety was his utmost importance. He sent us many recommendations (sightseeing, pubs, modes of transport, etc) to utilize our remaining time in Dublin. Oh, if you are lucky enough to have David as your guide (Walkabout Tours), be sure to have him sing the Molly Malone song when you get to her statue. (we’ve got the video, he’s that good!!
Response from the operator: Thanks Deslie for your wonderful review 🤗. It was my pleasure guiding You and Mike through Dublin. Delighted you enjoyed the tour. If you make any money on the Molly Malone video, I'll have 50% copyright lol 😄. Have a Safe and Happy journey home, wishing You and Mike all the very best for the future. Kindest Regards David ☘️

Dublin Teaser
Have an energy drink and wear good walking shoes for a tour with David. His background as a stage actor and his knowledge of his beloved city make him a wonderful tour director. We visited most of the locations outlined. Some bonus stops included an outside view of the Department of Taoiseach of Ireland and the National Gallery of Ireland. At the Gallery, we were treated to the back story on how Caravaggio's 'The Taking of Christ' came into the Gallery's collection. It is an inspiring painting. We visited the Oscar Wilde statue and Potato Famine Memorial in St. Stephen Green. David provided photo resources for the points of interest. He gave us tips on public transit & pubs to visit later. Best of all, he is kind, considerate and a "character." He inspires one to visit Dublin again.
Response from the operator: Ah Thanks Mary Beth for your wonderful review and kind words. Delighted you enjoyed the tour. Wishing you all the very best for the future. Kindest Regards David ☘️

His level of knowledge is amazing, he tailored the tour to our interests, and even included some singing. He truly went above and beyond and gave tons of tips for the rest of our trip in Ireland. Why this scores 76
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Dublin Private Walking Tour: Highlights, History & Hidden Gems: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Dublin.
How much does Dublin Private Walking Tour: Highlights, History & Hidden Gems cost?
+
Prices start at $143 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Dublin usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Dublin Private Walking Tour: Highlights, History & Hidden Gems take?
+
Plan for about 3.3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Dublin is not rushed.
Is Dublin Private Walking Tour: Highlights, History & Hidden Gems worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 41 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Dublin, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Dublin Private Walking Tour: Highlights, History & Hidden Gems?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Dublin Private Walking Tour: Highlights, History & Hidden Gems suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Dublin Private Walking Tour: Highlights, History & Hidden Gems?
+
Around 14 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Dublin can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Dublin and add a light layer if any part of the 3.3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Dublin Private Walking Tour: Highlights, History & Hidden Gems start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Dublin within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Dublin?
+
On Outty we rank every Dublin experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Dublin to Belfast Titanic Dunluce Castle Giants Causeway Tour, Dublin to Belfast Black Cab: Dunluce Castle and Giant's Causeway, Dublin to Cliffs of Moher, including Wild Atlantic Way and Galway. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Dublin?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Dublin?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
