    High priced but good sites

The sites were lively but the car ride was longer than expected and tight.

    Do not book this tour

Please do not book this tour! It was overall a very negative experience. The pros: Galway was beautiful, and the guide was friendly enough and got us there safely. The cons: (1) the car sent was much too small for the number of passengers booked to travel comfortably, (2) the guide knew next to nothing about the sites visited or Galway in general, and (3) the tour company made no meaningful attempt to resolve our concerns when we complained about our experience. This is not the type of personalized, informative experience that one would expect from a private tour that is so expensive. In the end, half our party took the train home after our last stop in Galway since the outbound journey had been so cramped and uninformative. The return trip via train was far more comfortable for a fraction of the price we had paid for a spot in the vehicle. I urge you to avoid this tour company on your trip to Galway if you value your money and comfort!

    Terrible Tour

I paid for an English speaking tour guide and our guide didn’t speak English! He just pointed at his phone with instructions that someone had previously typed for him. It took 10 minutes to figure out when lunch was scheduled. He skipped attractions that were supposed to be part of the tour. He also cut the tour time down by 1 1/2 hours. I do not recommend using this company for your tour of the cliffs.

Private tour from Dublin to Cliffs of Moher

This was an amazing trip!! We booked online and booked the Dublin to Cliffs of Moher private day trip. Driver promptly arrived at our hotel at 7 AM. We went to Barack Obama Center for a quick photo and snacks. Proceeded to the Bunratty castle, which was so cool! Then went to the cliffs, Galway, where we went off on our own for shopping and shops. Then we asked the driver if we could stop at Sean’s pub on our way back to Dublin and he said no problem. Sean’s pub is the oldest pub in Ireland with Guinness world record displayed on the walls. We were there long enough to grab a beer, photos and break up the long drive from Galway to Dublin. I’d like to note Eduardo was our driver. He was super nice guy and drove with both hands on the wheel. We felt safe the entire trip. However, we speak only English and he did not know English. He spoke Portuguese . This was not a problem for us as we have the Whats app and also there’s free translator apps online that you can download and I was easily able to communicate with my driver. Hands down an amazing day!!

Dublin: Full-Day Private Tour to Cliffs of Moher, Galway & More: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Dublin.

How much does Dublin: Full-Day Private Tour to Cliffs of Moher, Galway & More cost?

    +

Prices start at $1065 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Dublin usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Dublin: Full-Day Private Tour to Cliffs of Moher, Galway & More take?

    +

Plan for about 12.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Dublin is not rushed.

Is Dublin: Full-Day Private Tour to Cliffs of Moher, Galway & More worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 32 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Dublin, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Dublin: Full-Day Private Tour to Cliffs of Moher, Galway & More?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Dublin: Full-Day Private Tour to Cliffs of Moher, Galway & More suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Dublin: Full-Day Private Tour to Cliffs of Moher, Galway & More?

    +

Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Dublin can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Dublin and add a light layer if any part of the 12.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Dublin: Full-Day Private Tour to Cliffs of Moher, Galway & More start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Dublin within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Dublin?

    +

On Outty we rank every Dublin experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Dublin to Cliffs of Moher, including Wild Atlantic Way and Galway, Dublin Highlights and Hidden Gems Guided Walking Tour, The Little Museum of Dublin Famous Guided Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Dublin?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Dublin?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
