A wonderful Howth day!!
Mark and Missy are so wonderful. Full of knowledge and expertise about the history and culture in the area. I truly enjoyed learning about howth. Mark noticed I wasn’t drinking my beers and accommodated me with wine. He did not have to do that and it was really sweet. His wife is also helpful and wonderful bringing the pups out to us to pet and enjoy. At the cock bar I got to pet kitties!! 100/10
Response from the operator: 100/10 — we’ll happily take that! 😊 We’re so glad Mark and Missy made you feel so welcome, and that the switch to wine added a thoughtful touch to your day. Between the stories, pups, kitties and Howth itself, it sounds like you had a brilliant time. Thank you for such a lovely review!

Dog lovers must do- coastal walk with Mark and Missy
We were greeted at the meeting point by Star and Sky who showed us the harbor. After that we went on the hiking trail with Missy. After the trail we had a pint- the end. When you book a tour that is called coastal walk with dogs and a pint you come I guess because you are a dog lover. We were greeted by Mark and his two puppies at the meeting point and had some puppy time while learning about the history of this beautiful coastal town so close to Dublin. The two puppies went home and their experienced sister Missy did the coastal trail with us. Mark is very knowledgeable and you have the feeling of walking with your friend who is super excited to finally show you his town and surrounding. We had a great time, loved being with the dogs and enjoyed the pint and the delicious food at the end of our tour.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for such a thoughtful review! We're delighted you enjoyed meeting Luna, Sky, and Missy, and that Mark made you feel like you were exploring the coast with a friend. It’s wonderful to hear you enjoyed the history, the walk, the dogs, and finishing the day with a well-earned pint and great food. Thanks again for joining us—we'd love to welcome you back anytime!

‘Bluebird’ day on Howth!
What an incredible day hiking, enjoying a perfect day of sun and blue skies. Patrick led us to some interesting historical sites with amusing anecdotes which was fun. And then the cliff hike began where we experienced more of that, the views were spectacular! We ended up at the Bloody Stream pub for pints and good craic with Patrick. A banner day on Howth!
Response from the operator: Thanks so much for the brilliant review! Sounds like you got the full Howth experience with the sunshine, cliff views, stories, and a few pints at the Bloody Stream to finish it off haha. Delighted you enjoyed the day and really appreciate you joining me out on the hike!

Exactly as advertised and even better! Mark is great company and his pup was a doll! Views were amazing! No better way to wrap up than at The Bloody Stream!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much! We're thrilled it was everything you hoped for—and more! Mark will love hearing your feedback, and his pup will definitely appreciate being called a doll (she agrees, of course!). So glad you enjoyed the views and wrapped it all up at The Bloody Stream—such a perfect finale!

Why this scores 63
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Dublin Coastal Hike and Pints with A local & His Dog Private tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Dublin.
How much does Dublin Coastal Hike and Pints with A local & His Dog Private tour cost?
+
Prices start at $266 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Dublin usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Dublin Coastal Hike and Pints with A local & His Dog Private tour take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Dublin is not rushed.
Is Dublin Coastal Hike and Pints with A local & His Dog Private tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Dublin, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Dublin Coastal Hike and Pints with A local & His Dog Private tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Dublin Coastal Hike and Pints with A local & His Dog Private tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Dublin Coastal Hike and Pints with A local & His Dog Private tour?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Dublin can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Dublin and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Dublin Coastal Hike and Pints with A local & His Dog Private tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Dublin within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Dublin?
+
On Outty we rank every Dublin experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Dublin to Cliffs of Moher, including Wild Atlantic Way and Galway, Dublin Highlights and Hidden Gems Guided Walking Tour, The Little Museum of Dublin Famous Guided Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Dublin?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Dublin?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
