Drag Brunch on the Water, But Better

This was a must-do tour and absolutely worth the trip outside downtown CDMX. We went with a group of 13 and had the best time. In my opinion, this is the only way to see Xochimilco. Our queen Danielle Blanqueto (@blanqueto_) and her group were fabulous — such high energy, incredible performers, amazing live vocals, and they truly turned the party. She was soo friendly and funny. We were by far the liveliest boat on the river, and everyone was taking photos and videos of our group as we floated by. The elixir drink was delicious, and it was great that you could also bring your own drinks and snacks. This was the highlight of our trip — like drag brunch, but even better. I cannot recommend it enough.

This should be advertised much more! :)

I’m sure this would have been a phenomenal experience; however, it was canceled due to a lack of participants. I imagine the drag queens would have been fantastic! Unfortunately, TripAdvisor was not very clear that the tour had been canceled. They should advertise this tour much more prominently on their list of activities.

Highly recommend

Highlight of the entire CDMX trip! Amazing queen and staff kept refilling our drinks and kept the party going. Super inclusive, energetic experience for queer people and allies to celebrate in Xochimilco

If I could give this experience more than 5 stars, I would! From start to finish, the drag boat ride in Xochimilco was one of the absolute highlights of our trip to Mexico City. We went as a family my mom, dad, and boyfriend and we were completely entertained the entire time. First, a huge shoutout to Gabby, who organized and hosted the experience. Every single detail was so thoughtfully planned from the decorations to the music to the overall flow of the event. You can really tell how much care and passion goes into this. And then there was @violantedragqueen WOW. Not only did she look absolutely stunning, but she also sang live (no lip syncing here!) and totally lit up the boat with her presence, voice, and energy. It was such a treat to watch a drag queen perform live vocals she is truly a star! We also got the chance to jump into some karaoke ourselves (which was SO fun) and had tons of drinks flowing the whole way. The staff on board were all phenomenal attentive, friendly, and clearly enjoying the ride as much as we were. I didn’t catch everyone’s names, but every single person involved brought such great energy to the experience. Honestly, if I had just one more day in Mexico City, I would go back for another round. It’s that good. Don’t hesitate book this experience, bring your friends or family, and get ready to sing, drink, laugh, and be amazed. One of the most memorable things we’ve ever done!

Drag Boat Party in Xochimilco with Tequila and Queens: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mexico City.

How much does Drag Boat Party in Xochimilco with Tequila and Queens cost?

+

Prices start at $950 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mexico City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Drag Boat Party in Xochimilco with Tequila and Queens take?

+

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mexico City is not rushed.

Is Drag Boat Party in Xochimilco with Tequila and Queens worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 52 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mexico City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Drag Boat Party in Xochimilco with Tequila and Queens?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Drag Boat Party in Xochimilco with Tequila and Queens suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 18. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 3-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Drag Boat Party in Xochimilco with Tequila and Queens?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mexico City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mexico City and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Drag Boat Party in Xochimilco with Tequila and Queens start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mexico City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Mexico City?

+

On Outty we rank every Mexico City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Frida Kahlo VIP [Museum Tickets Included] Walk, Markets & Churros, Local Foodie Adventure CDMX: Tacos & more with Sherpa Food Tours, Mexico City Historical Centre Food Tour with 7 Tastings & Drinks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Mexico City?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Mexico City?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
