Kept 26yr old w ADHD Engaged for 5hrs! Best tour experience ever!
Was wary as my partner and I (mid20s from Toronto) don’t normally book (long) guided tours, but we are so glad we did. As someone who isn’t the biggest history fan, has ADHD, and an introvert, I did not expect to stayed engaged and genuinely enjoy the entire 5hr tour. We had the pleasure of having Alfonso/Poncho as our guide, who was very knowledgeable, professional, and engaging without being overwhelming! His English was excellent, answered everyone’s questions, and was able to relate and connect with each member of our group, creating a personalized experience. I have never learned and retained so much information from a tour before. Alfonso’s knowledge and passion impressed us all and set-the-bar for all future tours that I may book. Wear comfortable shoes as you will walk and stand majority of the time. There’s a break between the Museum and Castle, and washrooms are available at each site. Tour is both Indoor and outdoors. You can’t bring beverages/waterbottles into the castle. The tour focuses on the important aspects and some rooms/areas are skipped for redundancy. Incredibly happy with my experience and it’s all thanks to Alfonso. Hardly took pictures as I was so busy learning!!

Good tour with our guide George.
George who was our guide in this tour did an amazing job showing us around this beautiful museum. He shared with us the context and historical background of what was on display and weaved it into an easily understandable narrative. Only thing I will like to point out is that the tour begins at the museum and not at the castle. So, if are wanting to take pictures of the stained glass windows at the castle, you would be encountering lots of people there. Overall a good tour. Highly recommended.
