Kashem was extremely knowledgeable!
I had a great experience on this tour with Kashem and learned so much about Detroit’s history and architecture. He introduced us to places and building interiors I likely would never have explored on my own. I was in town for the Movement Music Festival and had a few hours to spare after extending my flight to the afternoon, and this tour turned out to be the perfect way to spend that time. It was informative, well-paced, and a great way to see the city in a short visit.

Good Overview of Area Hampered by Limited English Skills
The tour guide seemed conscientious, friendly, and intent on trying to provide a good experience. He took us to a number of sites in the downtown area and we got a decent overview of the area. Unfortunately, his command of the English language was fairly limited. Many times he appeared to struggle finding the correct English word. His accent was so difficult to understand for both my husband and I and we probably understood less than 50 percent of what he said. Additionally, his knowledge of the area was generally limited to what could be read on the plaques. He wasn’t able to answer any of our more in-depth questions. We are sure that in the future he will make a good tour guide, but at this time his language skills and knowledge of the area is too limited.
