About this experience
Explore the wonders of the ancient Roman city of Baia, the Roman city where luxury was the standard, which today is partly submerged due to the strong volcanic activity of the Phlegraean Fields, the geological area where we find ourselves. The phenomenon called bradyseism has slowly brought down the level of the earth over the years, so today the Roman villas that stood in front of the sea are about 4 meters underwater and the sea has preserved them wonderfully. Whether you are an experienced diver or a beginner, you will have the chance to admire an ancient Roman city just five meters deep. Our highly qualified staff will welcome you and accompany you throughout the experience. What are you waiting for? Don't miss this incredible opportunity!

Sweetest divers and fun experience swimming around in the sunken city!!
Nice experience and sweet people! In the briefing we were told about the places we went too and then when diving they showed everything, even simulating the hot floors which was so cute! We also stayed to eat with the divers as there were left overs and got to know them a bit better which was a lot of fun:)! The diving was different than I am used too, because it’s really like going to an underwater museum in a way, looking around at the mosaics and different rooms of the Vila’s or harbour etc, instead of swimming a guided tour along a wall for example. And the fish there swim with you lol! There was actually a lot of life and I even spotted a tiny tiny eel/Murray (as big as my pinky finger). Anyhow, great vibe and would recommend <3!

Amazing Div
A wonderful experience today, Diving on the ruined villas of Baia. We got to learn about the ruins before we went. Everything was smooth and very easy. Kay was a lovely guide, she was so friendly and knowledgeable. Many thanks for a great day.

Fantastic Time & Great Staff!
We had an amazing time. The staff was very friendly & knowledgeable. We are from the USA and had never been to Italy before. We found them through a Google search. We emailed back and forth numerous times and they answered all our questions. We we arrived, they prepped us on the dive and all about the history of the suken city, which was fascinating. They had great equipment & wetsuits. My husband and I had our own lead diver and our friends that snorkeled had their own too that followed above us and explained everything they were seeing. The mosaics were amazing. Would highly recommend this outfit. As well as walking up to the castle that is up on the hill, which is museum with many artifacts and Marble statues from the sunken city. There are also many great restaurants on the beach tj hang out at after your dive.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful and detailed review! We’re absolutely delighted that you chose us for such a special experience during your first trip to Italy. It means so much to hear that our team was able to answer all your questions beforehand and make you feel comfortable and well-prepared from the very beginning! We're thrilled that you enjoyed learning about the fascinating history of the Sunken City of Baia and that both the diving and snorkeling experiences were so memorable. Knowing that you appreciated the equipment, our guides, and, of course, the incredible underwater mosaics makes us incredibly happy! Thank you as well for recommending the museum and the local restaurants—Baia truly is a magical place, both above and below the surface! It was a real pleasure sharing this adventure with you, your husband, and your friends. We hope to welcome you all back the next time you're in Italy for another unforgettable underwater experience! Thank you a lot again.

Great dive tour, Great tour operator!!
This was an excellent dive tour. The communication was fantastic from the start. My dive was in January and the water was 17c. They provided 5mil wetsuit and boots that were in good condition. The water was a bit cloudy, but the way they have to uncover and recover the mosaics with bottom sand creates some of the visibility issue. Alessandro did an excellent briefing and adjusted the schedule on the boat, as there was another dive group at the same time as us. If you go in the winter, consider bring 3 or 5 mil gloves. I brought my 5 mils and my hands were warm. The site is archeological in nature so you're not going to see a huge array of sealife, but the former villa foundations and mosaics make up for it. The depth is, at greatest 5 meters so you won't use up your air too soon. I would like to see it during the summer. I highly recommend this tour. Everyone I came in contact with were first rate!!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this amazing review! We’re really glad to hear that you had an excellent experience and appreciated the communication and organization from the start. We are happy to know that the briefing and flexibility made your dive even more enjoyable. We always try to adapt to conditions and ensure the best possible experience for everyone. You made some great points about winter diving: 17°C water can definitely be refreshing, and your tip about gloves is spot on! As you mentioned, while the site is more archaeological than marine, the mosaics and ancient villa remains make it truly unique. We’d love to welcome you back in the summer as well, the conditions are quite different and equally beautiful in their own way! Thanks again for your recommendation and kind words about the whole team it really means a lot to us.

Why this scores 65
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Double Dive in the Bay Park for certified divers: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Naples.
How much does Double Dive in the Bay Park for certified divers cost?
+
Prices start at $120 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Naples usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Double Dive in the Bay Park for certified divers take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Naples is not rushed.
Is Double Dive in the Bay Park for certified divers worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Naples, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Double Dive in the Bay Park for certified divers?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Double Dive in the Bay Park for certified divers suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Double Dive in the Bay Park for certified divers?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Naples can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Naples and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Double Dive in the Bay Park for certified divers start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Naples within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Naples?
+
On Outty we rank every Naples experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full Day Private Amalfi Coast Tour from Sorrento/Naples/Salerno, Caserta Royal Palace & Gardens Small Group Tour with Shuttle, Naples Pizza and Tiramisu Cooking Class. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Naples?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Naples?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
