About this experience

The ride starts easy, passing through serene rice paddies before gradually climbing into the lush greenery at the base of the Doi Kiew Lom mountain range. Along the way, we’ll stop at a small village, where you’ll have the chance to walk around, soak in the atmosphere, and learn about their unique culture and way of life. Further up, we’ll visit a Hmong village, offering another opportunity to explore and connect with local traditions. From there, get ready for a solid uphill ride—challenging, but absolutely worth it. As we climb the hills around Doi Kiew Lom, you’ll be rewarded with stunning mountain views and rich greenery If you love temples but want something new, then you will love Phra That Si Mueang Pong (Wat Ban Pong). It took 19 years to build and has only recently been completed. Set on a quiet hill it offers a peaceful escape from the city. The hike up is steep but shaded, with bells to ring along the way and the chance to cross paths with monks.

Not much to see and not interesting. Bad food.

Staff at the office were very nice. Good choice of bicycles. However, not much to see on this tour. Guide difficult to understand and not interesting. Food offered was extremely limited and not good at all. I would recommend a different tour focused more on the surrounding areas rather than the city itself.

Good biking and culture.

Great morning tour with ‘Win’. It was wonderful to see the sights and learn more about the background of the monuments, food and culture. A great morning ride.

Live from Guam

Excellent time riding around Chiang Mai and trying local foods. We bike ride was not too difficult. Our guide was top notch and spoke good English.

Good guide. Poorly organized.

Guide was knowledgeable and patient but the experience was badly organized. They tour started 30 mins late (and started to conflict with an appointment we had later) and the guide did not know what tour was he supposed to give us. He started doing a different thing and when we asked him about the temples we were going to see he realized he was doing the wrong tour. Fortunately we realized this early. Company providing the tour needs to be more organized and respectful of the customers time.

A great way to see Chiang Mai

Our tour guide was Win, he was great, fantastically knowledgeable. The tour lasts about 3 and the cycling is very easy. so great sites to see. There is less food in the afternoon as the market is not as busy as the morning.

Doi Lom Challenge & White Temple by Electric Mountain bike: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Chiang Mai.

How much does Doi Lom Challenge & White Temple by Electric Mountain bike cost?

+

Prices start at $2950 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Chiang Mai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Doi Lom Challenge & White Temple by Electric Mountain bike take?

+

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Chiang Mai is not rushed.

Is Doi Lom Challenge & White Temple by Electric Mountain bike worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 48 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.9/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Chiang Mai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Doi Lom Challenge & White Temple by Electric Mountain bike?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Doi Lom Challenge & White Temple by Electric Mountain bike suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 5-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Doi Lom Challenge & White Temple by Electric Mountain bike?

+

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Chiang Mai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Chiang Mai and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Doi Lom Challenge & White Temple by Electric Mountain bike start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Chiang Mai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Chiang Mai?

+

On Outty we rank every Chiang Mai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half-Day Thai Cooking Class at Organic Farm in Chiang Mai, Full Day Thai Cooking at Farm (Chiang Mai), Thai and Akha Cooking Class in Chiang Mai. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Chiang Mai?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Chiang Mai?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
