Not too satisfied with this destination

https://www.traveltodo.com/sejours-etrangers/groupes-en-thailande/

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the 5-star rating! We are thrilled with the high stars, though it looks like there might be a tiny mix-up with the link and the comment, as that links to a different company. Either way, we really appreciate the 5 stars and would love to actually host you on one of our tours sometime!

A fantastic day with Bon Voyage Thailand

We had a fantastic day with Bon Voyage Thailand. We love hiking, and we had the opportunity to do both the Kew Mae Pan and the Pha Dok Siew treks in the limited time we had. It was just me, my wife, and our guide, Tad. She took very good care of us, always walking with us and sharing a lot of interesting information, and she also made sure we had a fantastic vegan meal! Thanks!

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your wonderful review. We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed both the Kew Mae Pan and Pha Dok Siew treks and that we could fit them into your limited time in Chiang Mai. It was a pleasure to take care of you both, share the experience along the way, and make sure you enjoyed a delicious vegan meal. We truly appreciate your kind words and hope to welcome you back to Thailand again in the future.

Fantastic, informative tour in the wet season.

We had an amazing day. We were collected promptly from our hotel in a very comfortable luxury minibus for the hour and a half drive to the Doi Inthanon park, with a short stop to buy Coffee and use the toilets at a service station before the last part of the drive to the park gate. At the start of the trail we were met by a Karen guide and we then walked slowly along the track, stopping frequently to learn about local plants and their medicinal or practical uses. The trail is steep in many places (although we were going down hill) and in the rainy season it was slippery in places - so the hike was quite tiring and hard on the legs. A landslide last year has caused a diversion in the very last part of the trail near the rice paddies so there was a steep climb down an up (as you can’t continue to walk beside the water channel). The coffee stop was greatly appreciated and the coffee excellent and we then had a short drive to the Karen village for lunch which was delicious, Visibility on the summit of Doi Inthanon was poor and the temperature was cool (13 degrees) so it is advisable to bring a sweater. Low cloud also affected the pagodas - but this is to be expected in the low season! Despite this it was a fantastic trip.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your detailed and thoughtful review! We are glad to hear that you had a fantastic day exploring Doi Inthanon with us. It's great to know that you enjoyed the comfort of the minibus, the insightful hike with our private guide and the delicious lunch in the village. We appreciate that you gave us tips on trail conditions and weather — very helpful for future travelers. We are glad you found the hike fantastic despite the poor visibility. We hope to welcome you back for another adventure soon!

Private Kew Mae Pan Trekking Experience

We opted to book a private tour for this one day tour and we could not have been happier with our choice. Net is an absolutely phenomenal tour guide. We were picked up in a newer shuttle van, our driver was excellent as well. His name escapes me right now. Net had a perfect day planned for us, the tour was well paced, we had enough time at each stop. He went with us everywhere and treated us like gold. He showed us a lot of little extras along the way, like blueberries and Thai herbs. We really appreciated that. I highly recommend this tour and would definitely feel confident booking with Bon Voyage travel. I was a little nervous about the hike since it says there are a lot of steep trails. I brought my hiking poles but I didn’t really need them. There are actually bamboo sticks at the start of the hike and that would have been ample. In fact, I probably would have been fine with just my good runners. The lunch was at a local Thai restaurant and it was delicious. Net - if you’re reading this - I want you to know what an excellent ambassador you are for your country and what a positive impact you had on our adventure, thank you again - Kalinda and Kirsten

Response from the operator: Thank you, Kalinda and Kirsten, for taking the time to share your experiences with us! We are so pleased that you enjoyed your private tour and that Net was able to make your day special. It’s great to hear that you felt well looked after throughout the trip and appreciated the little extras along the way. We are also pleased to hear that the hike was more enjoyable than expected and that the lunch was to your liking. Your praise for Net as an ambassador for Thailand really warms our hearts. It is his passion to share the beauty and culture of the country and we are so pleased that this had a positive impact on your adventure. We greatly appreciate your recommendation and look forward to hosting you again in the future. Thank you again for choosing Bon Voyage Thailand and we wish you both many more wonderful trips!

Great day in Doi Inthanon

Great communication from Tas through WhatsApp to organise the trip. We went on a private tour to Doi Inthanon. Our guide Bim and our driver were both amazing, very professional, knowledgeable and great personalities too. The local guides on the treks were also lovely. We really enjoyed the trip and learned a lot about this part of Thailand. Thank you all for making our day so special!

Response from the operator: We're glad you had a fantastic trip with us! Our driver and local guides exceeded your expectations. Your satisfaction means a lot to us. We can't wait to see you again for more adventures!

Doi Inthanon Private Trek & Lunch Tour from Chiang Mai: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Chiang Mai.

How much does Doi Inthanon Private Trek & Lunch Tour from Chiang Mai cost?

+

Prices start at $2200 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Chiang Mai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Doi Inthanon Private Trek & Lunch Tour from Chiang Mai take?

+

Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Chiang Mai is not rushed.

Is Doi Inthanon Private Trek & Lunch Tour from Chiang Mai worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Chiang Mai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Doi Inthanon Private Trek & Lunch Tour from Chiang Mai?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Doi Inthanon Private Trek & Lunch Tour from Chiang Mai suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 5. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 9-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Doi Inthanon Private Trek & Lunch Tour from Chiang Mai?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Chiang Mai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Chiang Mai and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Doi Inthanon Private Trek & Lunch Tour from Chiang Mai start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Chiang Mai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Chiang Mai?

+

On Outty we rank every Chiang Mai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half-Day Thai Cooking Class at Organic Farm in Chiang Mai, Full Day Thai Cooking at Farm (Chiang Mai), Thai and Akha Cooking Class in Chiang Mai. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Chiang Mai?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Chiang Mai?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
