Poorly organized underground! Once and never again!
That's shit! 5:30 a.m. and walked to the address of the as pick-up point (Shin Hotel) Except there was no hotel there. I asked people on the street and was sent back and forth several times... No hotel. I then started again to the central meeting point (McDonald’s)Specified time span 7:00 -7:30, arrived at 7:15.->. No one there.
Response from the operator: Dear Reinhold Huppertz, We understand you were unhappy with your recent experience and left a 1-star review. We want to clarify what happened with your booking. Our records show that you requested a pickup from the Shin Hotel, and we sent a confirmation message to confirm this location. Our driver waited at the Shin Hotel from 7:00 AM to 7:40 AM with other passengers, but unfortunately, you did not appear. We strive to provide excellent service and take all feedback seriously. We've reviewed your booking details and confirmed that the pickup location was set as the Shin Hotel, as requested. Best regards, Parallel Tour

Dive into another world
Despite the rain they enjoyed much of this trip with trekking in the forest (which is not too difficult at all, from other reviews I expected it longer and more tiring), the only problem in case was the slippery mud near the rice terraces, in the rainy season bring hiking shoes. A little useless to climb to the top of the doi inthanon given the thick fog but it was an experience too. The Toy guide was very kind, fun and helpful. Would highly recommend.
Response from the operator: Grazie per il feedback dettagliato e per i consigli utili riguardo alle scarpe da trekking. Siamo lieti che la guida Toy abbia reso la vostra esperienza memorabile nonostante la pioggia e la nebbia. Kind regards Thailand Tours team

Postcard landscapes, a pleasant walk that ends in the rice fields.
The excursion to the jungle, ending in the rice fields, was spectacular. It is a very gentle trekking, anyone can do it without requiring any effort. The guide very attentive.
Response from the operator: Nos alegra mucho que disfrutara de la excursión a la selva y el trekking. Agradecemos su reconocimiento hacia nuestro guía. ¡Gracias por su opinión!

Doi Inthanon’s Pha Dok Siew Trekking: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Chiang Mai.
How much does Doi Inthanon’s Pha Dok Siew Trekking cost?
+
Prices start at $61 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Chiang Mai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Doi Inthanon’s Pha Dok Siew Trekking take?

Is Doi Inthanon’s Pha Dok Siew Trekking worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.7/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Chiang Mai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Is Doi Inthanon’s Pha Dok Siew Trekking suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Doi Inthanon’s Pha Dok Siew Trekking?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Chiang Mai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Chiang Mai and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Doi Inthanon’s Pha Dok Siew Trekking start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Chiang Mai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Chiang Mai?
+
On Outty we rank every Chiang Mai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half-Day Thai Cooking Class at Organic Farm in Chiang Mai, Full Day Thai Cooking at Farm (Chiang Mai), Chiang Mai Elephant Sanctuary, Bamboo Rafting and Waterfall Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Chiang Mai?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Chiang Mai?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
