The driver didn't understand a...
The driver didn't understand a word of English. It was impossible to make ourselves understood; we managed to reach the Grand Palace, which was the first stop of our tour, and then we took taxis.

The driver was fine. But ...
First off, I want to be clear in that the driver did nothing wrong! But the description of this activity was not the same as our experience. We understood it to be a collaboration between our group and the driver, that he would suggest places to go and essentially provide a private tour. Instead, he was ... a driver. He asked where we wanted to go. He had no suggestions. His ability to speak English was limited, so he could not identify what we were looking at. We ended up throwing out things we'd read in a guidebook, walking around on our own for a an hour at a couple of places each, and cutting our time short by two hours. I'm giving it one star because I know these are the ones people read, and others need to know that they are NOT booking a tour.

Our tour guide was great and very accommodating. We told him what we needed and he did it. We went to see the golden Buddha and MBK mall.
