Highlight of Lisbon!!
This was such an incredible experience. Did this as my birthday celebration with some friends, and I couldn't be happier. Fun, beautiful, and Mario made it so special. He went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of and enjoyed ourselves. He chose a great wine, provided very tasty snacks, and delicious pastel de natas. The boat was a great size, perfect for 7 of us and can fit up to 8 guests, so it stays an intimate experience. There is proper seating in the back, or Mario has attached cushions to sit in the front. Mario and his son are also such lovely people. You can feel how much they love what they do. They made this the highlight of my trip and highly recommend taking this tour with Mario!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for such a wonderful and thoughtful review. It truly means a lot to us to know that you chose to celebrate your birthday with us and that we could help make it such a special memory. It was an absolute pleasure having you and your friends on board. We always want our guests to feel relaxed, well looked after, and at home from the moment they step onto the boat, so reading your words about the wine, snacks, pastéis de nata, and the atmosphere makes us very happy. Sharing these moments on the river is something we genuinely love, and having guests like you makes the experience even more special for us too. Thank you for your kindness, your recommendation, and for allowing us to be part of your birthday celebration and your time in Lisbon. We hope to welcome you back on board one day for another beautiful moment together! Warm regards, Mario & Family

Great smaller sailboat trip with nice crew
We had an amazing time on the Água Levana with captain Mario and his son! The meet up was easy. We were the only ones to book that day, so just the two of us and our crew. We set out from the harbor on motor and then sailed to the 25 de Abril bridge and back. My boyfriend and I sail at home and enjoy the quiet, slow pace of being under sail. We had a lovely sail down the river and saw some great views of Lisbon from the water. The boat is well kept. Mario is very knowledgeable about local history and culture. We had a lovely bottle of wine and plate of tapas! The listing just said “glass”, but it is more. Even had a lovely Pastel de Nata! 10 out of 10!

Why this scores 69
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Discover Lisbon aboard a private sailboat in the Tejo: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.
How much does Discover Lisbon aboard a private sailboat in the Tejo cost?
+
Prices start at $40 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Discover Lisbon aboard a private sailboat in the Tejo take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.
Is Discover Lisbon aboard a private sailboat in the Tejo worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 24 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Discover Lisbon aboard a private sailboat in the Tejo?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Discover Lisbon aboard a private sailboat in the Tejo suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Discover Lisbon aboard a private sailboat in the Tejo?
+
Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Discover Lisbon aboard a private sailboat in the Tejo start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Lisbon?
+
On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Lisbon?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Lisbon?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
