Best day ever with Kathy
This was an amazing experience from start to finish. Kathy picked us up at the train station and had lunch waiting for us in her beautiful car. She was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and our tour. Her english is great. Then she drove us around town to see the rest of the sites and bought us dinner. Quick drive back to train station to catch our sleeper train back to Beijing. Truly an amazing experience.

Highly recommended for anyone wanting a smooth, worry-free visit to Xi'an
We had a fantastic full-day experience with Kathy in Xi'an. She was attentive from start to finish. Not only is she a wealth of knowledge on the Terracotta Warriors and local history, she also introduced us to an amazing spot for an authentic local halal lunch. Thanks to the seamless and comfortable transport, the entire tour was completely effortless. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a smooth, worry-free visit to Xi'an.

Wonderful Experience with Kathy
Kathy provided an excellent customised tour experience that was perfectly tailored to my preferences. The itinerary was thoughtfully planned, allowing me to visit all the places I wanted without feeling rushed. Everything was done at a comfortable and leisurely pace. Usually, I return home from a holiday feeling exhausted from trying to fit too many activities into a short period of time. However, this trip was different. I was able to fully enjoy the sights, immerse myself in the local culture, and savour many of Xi’an’s famous delicacies without feeling tired or overwhelmed. What truly enhanced the experience was Kathy’s professionalism and attentiveness. She took great care to understand our needs and was always thoughtful in ensuring our comfort throughout the trip. Knowing that we had a midnight flight home, she carefully planned the itinerary and rest breaks so that we remained refreshed and comfortable right up to our departure. Kathy is effectively bilingual and was able to communicate clearly throughout the trip. Her comprehensive explanations of the history, culture and significance of each site helped me gain a much deeper appreciation of the places we visited. She brought the stories behind the attractions to life, making each visit both meaningful and memorable. I highly recommend Kathy to anyone looking for a personalised, well-paced, enriching and stress-free tour experience in Xi’an.

Beautiful insight of historical Xian
Had a beautiful tour of Xian; the history, the beautiful gardens, beautiful presentation of the wu zhe tian show, awesome terracotta museum tour, colorful ganquan canyon adventure and an exhilarating experience of Huashan. Xian was busy with people, alive with culture and food. Our small group tour was easy, personal and interactive. Kathy, our energetic, beautiful guide, was caring and very knowledgeable. She communicated well. It has been a memorable visit of Xian.

An Enriching Awesome Enjoyable Stress Free Experience
We booked a 4-day Xi’an family private tour with our local bilingual guide Kathy and driver Liu, who are both amazing and attentive to our travel requests throughout, especially since it is the first time my family is visiting China. Kathy is incredibly knowledgeable and experienced. She has a great sense of humor and made Chinese history, especially the Qin & Tang dynasties, captivating, interesting, and most importantly, easy to understand. We loved how she showed us hidden historical facts and the best food spots we’d never found ourselves. It truly felt like walking with a local friend we knew for ages. She also spoke good English interspersed with the use of Mandarin. The tour was family-friendly & easy-paced, perfect for my elderly 75/70-year-old brother and his wife. We even had a whole day trip each to visit the Ganquan Canyon and Mount Hua besides visiting the must-see sights in Xi’an city center. On our last day, she surprised us with a night tour to Tang Dynasty Everbright City – Tang Sculpture Pedestrian Street, which was not originally planned in our travel itinerary. Highly recommend Kathy to anyone visiting Xi’an especially first-timers. 👍👍

Why this scores 80
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Discover China Wonders Terracotta Warriors and Mount Hua: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Xian.
How much does Discover China Wonders Terracotta Warriors and Mount Hua cost?
+
Prices start at $123 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Xian usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Discover China Wonders Terracotta Warriors and Mount Hua take?
+
Plan for about 57 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Xian is not rushed.
Is Discover China Wonders Terracotta Warriors and Mount Hua worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 80 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 21 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Xian, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Discover China Wonders Terracotta Warriors and Mount Hua?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Discover China Wonders Terracotta Warriors and Mount Hua suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 20. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 57-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Discover China Wonders Terracotta Warriors and Mount Hua?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Xian can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Xian and add a light layer if any part of the 57-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Discover China Wonders Terracotta Warriors and Mount Hua start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Xian within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Xian?
+
On Outty we rank every Xian experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Xi'an Day Tour: Terracotta Army&Optional City Attractions, All-Inclusive Terracotta Army Tour with Premium Buffet Lunch, 2-Day Customized Warriors Tours & Xian Top Attractions. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Xian?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Xian?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
