Amazing tours of Bangaluru, Mysore, and Nandi Hills
Anand is hands-down the best guide we could have asked for in Bengaluru! His local knowledge is simply unmatched. He took us to stunning temples and hidden corners of the city and surrounding areas that no guidebook or app would ever surface. Places we'd have walked right past became fascinating stories in his hands. What really set him apart was his flexibility. When we wanted to linger longer at a temple or skip something that didn't interest us, he adjusted the plan on the spot without any fuss, and always had a brilliant alternative ready. And his sense of humor made every moment fun; we spent half the tour laughing and the other half engaging in Bangaluru and Mysore history! If you want to experience the real Bengaluru, Nandi Hills, and Mysore beyond the usual tourist trail, book Anand. You won't regret it!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for these incredibly kind words ! and Thank you for trusting me to show you Bangalore beyond Google Maps 😄 The best part of being a Guide is meeting curious people who are willing to go beyond the obvious and are willing to listen to the stories hidden in plain sight. It was such a joy taking all of you! Thank you!

Namma Bengaluru with Anand!
I am from Bengaluru, born and bred in this city known for posh cars, beautiful girls, IT, greenery and diversity. However, what Anand showed me was completely different to what I already knew. Thanks to Anand for not only being a brilliant tour guide to my friend, my son and me, for also for being a great company to tour with. Anand knows the history of every place in Bengaluru thoroughly, he has done a fantastic research and homework on all the places. He fondly and passionately speaks about the tales of the garden city which are backed up with facts and evidences from that of the past. Anand’s sense of humor makes the whole experience even better, his knowledge about the best restaurants that would serve you the local delicacies, the slang, the lingo, reasonable shopping centers and the transport connections from place to place is phenomenal! So what are you waiting for? Your next holiday destination, your tour guide and guaranteed exciting times ahead are calling you…fasten your seat belts, relax and explore with Anand! Just Go and enjoy maadi! Thank you Anand for making my friend’s and my son’s first ever Bengaluru sight seeing experience so memorable! For me personally, it was like getting introduced to my hometown again. I know a little more than I knew about Namma Bengaluru!
Response from the operator: First off, thank you so much for taking the time to write this review! It was great fun showing you guys around — and thank you for being such amazing participants. I absolutely loved all your questions! Really happy to know the experience was a memorable one for you. Have an amazing time ahead, and thanks once again for joining the walk!

Great tour of MG road with Anand
"I had one of the best tours of MG Road and Brigade Road. As a native of Bangalore who has lived outside the city for almost 20 years, Anand gave me a wonderful walk down memory lane, bringing back the days when I frequented these roads as a teenager. The history behind these places was truly fascinating. Anand has great love and in-depth knowledge of the city. Thank you for a memorable evening."
Response from the operator: A wonderful evening indeed, made even better by fantastic company :-) Thank you!!

Great introduction to Bangalore for our family
We just had a tour with Anand on our first day in Bangalore. It was a great way to get our bearings. The itinerary was as shown and we enjoyed getting a flavour of Brigade Rd, Sultan Tipur’s Summer residence, Bangalore fort and KR flower market. No doubt if we did this alone, we would have only seen one or two sights. Anand was professional, knowledgeable and friendly, and made a special effort to make it interesting for our jet-lagged 8 year old, which we appreciated. Highly recommend!
Response from the operator: Thank you! I thoroughly enjoyed taking the three of you around. Wishing you a wonderful rest of your trip in India!

Why this scores 69
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Discover Bangalore with Me (A Private Historical Walk Tour): questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bangalore.
How much does Discover Bangalore with Me (A Private Historical Walk Tour) cost?
+
Prices start at $1499 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bangalore usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Discover Bangalore with Me (A Private Historical Walk Tour) take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bangalore is not rushed.
Is Discover Bangalore with Me (A Private Historical Walk Tour) worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 27 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bangalore, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Discover Bangalore with Me (A Private Historical Walk Tour)?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Discover Bangalore with Me (A Private Historical Walk Tour) suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Discover Bangalore with Me (A Private Historical Walk Tour)?
+
Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bangalore can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bangalore and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Discover Bangalore with Me (A Private Historical Walk Tour) start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bangalore within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Bangalore?
+
On Outty we rank every Bangalore experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Old to New Bangalore Day Tour: Lalbagh, Temple, Market & Palace, Bangalore city tour with English guide & multi language support, Best of Mysore, UNESCO Somnathpur Temple & Srirangapatna Day Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Bangalore?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Bangalore?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
