    Perfect For Our 36th Anniversary

Kashem and Naeem are wonderful tour guides and made sure my husband and I felt comfortable and accommodated right away! We had time for just one day in Detroit and we did not feel like being part of a group, so this was perfect for us. We did not expect fancy at this price point, and found the family-owned business a surprising gem: cold water, Coke or Sprite, umbrellas for the sun, and most importantly: No emphasis on the clock - we got our fill at each stop (within reason, of course) and we tipped for going overtime asking extra questions and exploring an “off-the-beaten-path” swimming access. Both are very knowledgeable…and honest about it when they’re not. It was not our hosts’ fault, but the RAV4 with the multiple stops could not keep up with the air conditioning needs as it was a 90° day! Other than that, a 5-star experience: we will call them for a Detroit city tour next time we are in town and I highly recommend Kashem Travel :D

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your detailed and heartfelt review! It was truly a pleasure hosting you and your husband and showing you around Belle Isle. We’re very happy to hear that you enjoyed the private experience and felt comfortable, welcomed, and well taken care of throughout the tour. We appreciate your kind words about the cold water, refreshments, umbrellas, and the flexibility of the tour. Our goal is always to create a relaxed and memorable experience where guests can enjoy the sights, ask questions, and explore Detroit at a comfortable pace. We’re also grateful that you appreciated our honesty and passion for sharing the city’s history and hidden gems. Thank you as well for your helpful feedback about the vehicle and air conditioning. We understand how important comfort is, especially on a hot summer day, and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention as we continue improving our service. It was wonderful spending time with you both, and we truly appreciate your recommendation of Kashem Travel. We would love to welcome you back next time you visit Detroit and show you more of this amazing city. Safe travels!

Detroit Belle Isle Highlights Tour with Private Transportation: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Detroit.

How much does Detroit Belle Isle Highlights Tour with Private Transportation cost?

    +

Prices start at $65 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Detroit usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Detroit Belle Isle Highlights Tour with Private Transportation take?

    +

Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Detroit is not rushed.

Is Detroit Belle Isle Highlights Tour with Private Transportation worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Detroit, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Detroit Belle Isle Highlights Tour with Private Transportation?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Detroit Belle Isle Highlights Tour with Private Transportation suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Detroit Belle Isle Highlights Tour with Private Transportation?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Detroit can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Detroit and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Detroit Belle Isle Highlights Tour with Private Transportation start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Detroit within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Detroit?

    +

Detroit tours cover Motown Museum and music history, Eastern Market murals, Ford factory and auto heritage, riverfront cycling and Belle Isle, plus a strong food-tour scene. On Outty we rank every Detroit experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Best Detroit Architecture Walking Tour: Inside Access & Landmarks, Detroit Sweet Treats Food Tour: Donuts, Coffee, Pastries & More, Detroit's Hidden History Guided Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Detroit?

    +

May to October. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Detroit?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
