Immerse yourself in the local way of life.
We booked our tour through tripadvisor. We just wanted a feel for authentic local cuisine. Most of the drivers you get think you want burgers and white food, this tour was definitely not that. We met our guide Agung in Denpasar at a local shop. The area has an old Bali feel. The façades on the shops shows some beautiful old world charm. We strolled the streets and witnessed authentic market stalls selling their wares, making food and offerings. As we mosied along the streets dodging pedestrians and scooters we were able to see smell and taste produce and homemade foods. Agung talks about the history of Denpasar, the reasons for offerings and how they are made. There’s simplicity in the food and it’s very tasty. If you have any food sensitivity or allergies, advise Agung and he will make sure you’re catered to. We saw the HUGE variety of foods on offer. We sampled fresh fruit. We smelled different herbs and flavourings. We grabbed a sweet haul and put it into our bag (which Agung gifted to us at the beginning of our tour) and we sat by the river to end our trip with sweet treats. I am an advocate for doing a food tour in every place you go to. Every region has their way of cooking and differing ingredients inspires new menus. Please try something new. Reach out to Agung and do a food tour. Do a cooking class. Get away from maccas and kfc.

A fantastic Balinese experience.
Prepare yourself for an assault on your senses as bikes, people and vendors clash (almost literally) in a mass of humanity. Our guide (and new friend), Jorrrdy was exceptional seeking out the interesting and unique to Bali. The food itself was all chosen by Jorrrdy and therefore “safe” for the delicate western constitution. A fantastic use of 3 hours to immerse yourself in a typical Bali experience. Would I recommend - hell yes!!

A Wonderful Look Into Denpasar’s Heartbeat
This excursion to the Denpasar Market was such a memorable experience. Walking through the market gave me a real sense of how the community works together—everyone moving with purpose, supporting one another, and creating this vibrant, lively atmosphere. My tour guide shared fascinating facts about the history of Denpasar, which added so much depth to what I was seeing. I also sampled several different local foods, and every single one was delicious. Honestly, I think I ate way too much, but it was absolutely worth it. The flavors, the energy, the people—everything made this excursion special. Overall, this was a fantastic experience and definitely worth it.

Amazing experience! Our tour guide Ayu was so friendly and knowledgeable. Going to the Denpasar market was a truly immersive experience. It was wonderful to be a part of local life in a way that doesn’t really happen in tourist areas. Can’t recommend enough.

Highly recommend this market tour!
What a fantastic experience of a real Bali market scene! The exotic fruits and delicious food we sampled was more than we could handle! Robyn and our Balinese guide were knowledgeable, kind and funny and sitting at the end with our food haul next to river and the pretty lights overhead was just so lovely. Highly recommend 👌
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the lovely words! We're thrilled you enjoyed the market experience — the colors, the flavors, and that magical riverside moment under the lights really do make it special. It was a pleasure having you with us, and we’d love to welcome you back anytime for more food adventures!

Why this scores 61
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Denpasar Night Market Food Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Seminyak.
How much does Denpasar Night Market Food Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $40 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Seminyak usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Denpasar Night Market Food Tour take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Seminyak is not rushed.
Is Denpasar Night Market Food Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Seminyak, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Denpasar Night Market Food Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Denpasar Night Market Food Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 16. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 3-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Denpasar Night Market Food Tour?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Seminyak can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Seminyak and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Denpasar Night Market Food Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Seminyak within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Seminyak?
+
On Outty we rank every Seminyak experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Best of Bali Waterfalls: Tibumana, Tukad Cepung and Tegenungan, Bali Instagram Tour: The Most Scenic Spots, Ubud Hot Springs and Waterfall Private Guided Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Seminyak?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Seminyak?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
