About this experience
Delhi is known for its rich & yummy food culture from centuries, we are fortunate today that this rich food culture is preserved in form of small food joints by some thoughtful people for generations. We have designed this experience with an intention to take you to these places for food tasting. 1. We will begin exploring the local delicacies of Delhi on this food walk, you can witness the preparation, get an in-depth understanding of local food culture and the things that influenced the development of these cuisines. Waste of money - borderline scam
Where to start? Well, after reading other reviews saying that the guide didn't even show up and they wasted tuk-tuk money to arrive at the start point, we tried to contact the guide and company 2 days beforehand. They confirmed 3 hours before the scheduled start. The tour started off well enough, as the guide showed up 25 minutes early and was polite. However, things quickly went downhill and we realized he may have showed up early because he wanted to finish early. During the food tastings, the guide was on his cell phone talking with other people while we were eating and provided NO INFORMATION at all about the foods or history of them unless we asked questions in between his phone calls. We ate a total of 4 foods over the course of about 55 minutes, and then our guide told us, "Okay, that concludes the foods that you have paid for during the tour. We will now do a walking tour through Chandni Chowk." We promptly told the guide that providing 4 tastings was ridiculous for the amount of money paid for the tour, and since he was providing no information at all, that we would be able to walk through Chandni Chowk on our own. After requesting a refund online, Yo Tours (tour operator) only provided a 25% refund. I contacted Yo Tours directly via phone and they hung up on me on at least 8 separate occasions on purpose. I filed a further reimbursement request with Viator and they were able to give another 25% refund after Yo Tours refused to do so. I truly believe we deserved more of a refund, but here we are. Please save yourself the time, energy, and money and book a different tour. I really hope that Viator does not do business with shady operators like this in the future, and that they also have a more efficient way for travelers to communicate directly with them in the future for refunds, as it took almost 2 weeks.

Avoid… Guide didn’t show up, refund not received
We waited for 25mins. Guide did not show up, phone number did not work. After 30mins, we received a WhatsApp message saying the guide was stuck in traffic and would be another 5mins. 5mins later the guide called (& background noise sounded like office not traffic) & said he would be 45mins. We were not prepared to wait in cold 1hr 15 after booked time. Were told we’d get a refund but nothing received & now WhatsApp not delivering to number we communicated with. Unfortunately this seems an unprofessional company who have taken our money for no service. Would not recommend!

Why this scores 52
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Delhi: Street Food Crawl (2 Hours Guided Food Tasting Tour): questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for New Delhi.
How much does Delhi: Street Food Crawl (2 Hours Guided Food Tasting Tour) cost?
+
Prices start at $10 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in New Delhi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Delhi: Street Food Crawl (2 Hours Guided Food Tasting Tour) take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in New Delhi is not rushed.
Is Delhi: Street Food Crawl (2 Hours Guided Food Tasting Tour) worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 52 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.5/5 across 18 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in New Delhi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Delhi: Street Food Crawl (2 Hours Guided Food Tasting Tour)?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Delhi: Street Food Crawl (2 Hours Guided Food Tasting Tour) suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Delhi: Street Food Crawl (2 Hours Guided Food Tasting Tour)?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in New Delhi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in New Delhi and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Delhi: Street Food Crawl (2 Hours Guided Food Tasting Tour) start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central New Delhi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in New Delhi?
+
On Outty we rank every New Delhi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Taj Mahal & Agra Private Tour By AC Car From Delhi with 5* Meal, Taj Mahal & Agra Fort Private Day Trip From Delhi with 5* Lunch, Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Baby Taj Day Tour from Delhi by Car. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit New Delhi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in New Delhi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
