About this experience
Death Valley Day tours are packed with adventure that is tailored to you and your family. Our guides are pros at making adjustments to the day based on your interests. We will stop at mountain vistas, salt flats, golden canyons, and more! As we drive through the park, we will keep our eyes peeled for tarantulas, jackrabbits, bighorn sheep, and more! Few landscapes in the world are as striking and memorable as that of Death Valley National Park. The park also has a rich cultural history of wandering gold miners, Hollywood movies (including Return of the Jedi for our Star Wars fans out there), as well as deep roots of the indigenous tribes that our guides will talk of on the tour. Along the way, we’ll stop for a delicious picnic lunch or dinner. Our guides will share stories of the park’s human and geological history as well as information about flora and fauna.

We loved hiking with Halle. She helped show us the rich wildlife in Death Valley.
We had an amazing time hiking with Halle! She took us to a off-the-beaten path section of the park for a really special hiking experience, we saw the park's new pup fish board walk, had a great picnic lunch, and hit up a historical preserved mine as well. We thought Halle was a great guide and we'll be looking to her for our next adventure.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience with Halle! How fun that you got to enjoy the new pupfish boardwalk! Halle is a fantastic guide, and we're glad she made your trip memorable. We look forward to helping you plan your next adventure!

Excellent and Adventurous Day in Death Valley
Excellent day in Death Valley. Halle was our guide and she was excellent. Very knowledgeable and courteous we were able to cover lot of ground (3 separate hikes plus several scenic points including Artist drive). Would not have been able to do half of that on our own. We are pretty adventurous but they will accommodate you at your own pace.
Response from the operator: Thanks for the awesome review! That is an incredibly full day in Death Valley - we're so glad having Halle as a guide helped you squeeze it all in! We hope to see you again out there :)

Nice Spring Day in Death Valley
We used Good Trip Adventures for our Death Valley tour. We had a great time. We covered so much ground - Zabriskie Point, Badwater Basin, Artists Palette, and the sand dunes. This was one of the rare times Lake Manly had water so we were walking in it. My wife struggled to walk in that water and Max offered her his shoes which was a very kind gesture. Max was so knowledgeable and fun to be with. He helped us take photos of ourselves with our multiple cameras. Would definitely recommend this place for a private tour of Death Valley.
Response from the operator: What a memorable day! Thank you for choosing us to be a part of it. Max is an amazing guy, and your story only proves it more. Thank you for sharing your story! Hope to see you in another park soon!

How far in advance should I book Death Valley Full Day Private Tour & Hike?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. What are the best things to do in Death Valley National Park?
+
On Outty we rank every Death Valley National Park experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Death Valley National Park Self-Guided Audio Driving Tour, 4-Day Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon, Zion & Death Valley from LA, 5-Day Grand Canyon & Antelope Canyon, Zion, Bryce & More from LA. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Death Valley National Park?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Death Valley National Park?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
