About this experience
This is an ideal tour for those who want to see the two most visited places in Iceland in one day. The Golden circle named by the Golden waterfall or Gulfoss. On the same route we will visit Thingvellir national park which is located in the middle of the Euroasian and American tectonic plate. Enjoy a walk between both plates down to valley where the oldest democratic parliament is based. We will stop at Geyser hot spring and enjoy one of Icelands most visited tourist attraction, geyser Strokkur which blows up every 6-8 minutes. Next stop will be place such as Kerið crater, Hveragerði town. From here we are heading to Reykjanes peninsula and finally catch the Blue lagoon (entrance fee not included). This tour is nearly always private. Even if we have two or more bookings for same day, tour still will be highly privately so customers have enough time to research wonder of Icelandic nature. Perfect Golden Circle Private Tour
We had a great tour with Andres. He had many suggestions and was very flexible. He picked us up on time at our hotel. He was very knowledgeable and interesting as well. He gave us a good view of Icelandic history as well as spectacular views along the Golden Circle.
Response from the operator: Dear SMontn Thank you for wonderful day yesterday. It really was very good to travel with you. Beside everything I introduced about Iceland on tour, we could share something. Our opinions aren´t all different so it is also a reason we can comunnicate about many things, not only about tourism, Iceland, nature etc. Thank you for five stars. Andres

Day trip to the Golden Circle and downtown Reykjavik
We were picked up as scheduled from our cruise ship. The Golden Circle trip was planned for us. Andres was an excellent guide. He was knowledgeable about the area, both the geography and the history. He was entertaining and helpful. He filled our day with fun facts and magnificent sights. When we expressed an interest in altering the plans to include downtown Reykjavík he was happy to oblige and had more stories to tell about that area. We had a full day and were very satisfied when Andres dropped us at the airport!
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for this wonderful review. I really enjoyed touring with you all day since you are also very easy going couples. You all reminded me to two couples travelled with me just one month ago on the different tour. I am thankful for all my customers, since I never have any troubles and all of them, including you, are just simple people, so it doesn´t matter your profession and more, since I am doing tours and not interrogation of the background of customers. I really hope one day we can travel again together. Kind regards Andres

Fantastic day with the best tour guide
Outstanding tour guide. Andrea was so knowledgeable and personable. I read reviews stating he went above and beyond and he really did. We had a fantastic day. I can’t recommend Andrea enough. When we come back we will book with Andrea again. Thank you xxx
Response from the operator: Dear Sara, Thank you for this five stars review. It was my pleasure to travel with you. Very relaxed family so every operator would wish to travel with that kind of people. Plus, the weather worked out very well, so we had cold and sunny conditions, which were good in any case. Thanks again, and I hope we'll travel together again. Andres

Golden circle Aug 9th trip review
The golden circle trip with Andres was excellent. He cared about his clients. He knew a lot of Iceland’s history, geology and culture which he shared with us throughout the trip. He was not in a hurry to complete the trip quickly. I thoroughly enjoyed the trip.
Response from the operator: Pinaki, thank you for sharing your view of the Golden Circle tour. It really was my pleasure to travel with you since you have been interesting on. All those travellers who come to Iceland with an interest in the things we spoke about during the tour get much more out of it. To receive on the tour means to acquire more knowledge beyond the existing, from previous travels or simply from school or life in general. I am still sorry about your story from your previous experience in Iceland, so I hope your tour with me tops up a little. Thank you for this wonderful review, and I hope we will see each other again. Andres

Great tour to see highlights along the Golden Circle with awesome guide!
Our first taste of Iceland was along the Golden Circle with Andres as our guide. Andres was terrific, he highlighted the attractions best suited for our interests and allowed us time to hike / explore as we went. He was flexible, knowledgable and made the 10+ hours we spent with him a pleasure. Five stars all around!
Response from the operator: Dear AndyC. Thank you for this wonderful review. That day was very good for me too, as all of you are outstanding travellers, interested in Iceland, history, geology and much more. People interested in all tours get more of the day than those with priority to take selfie pictures only. You aren´t selfie people, but you've still taken many memorable pictures. Thanks again for being my guests. Andres

Why this scores 76
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Day Trip to the Golden Circle and Blue Lagoon from Reykjavik: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Reykjavik.
How much does Day Trip to the Golden Circle and Blue Lagoon from Reykjavik cost?
+
Prices start at $243 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Reykjavik usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Day Trip to the Golden Circle and Blue Lagoon from Reykjavik take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Reykjavik is not rushed.
Is Day Trip to the Golden Circle and Blue Lagoon from Reykjavik worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 49 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Reykjavik, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Day Trip to the Golden Circle and Blue Lagoon from Reykjavik?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Day Trip to the Golden Circle and Blue Lagoon from Reykjavik suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Day Trip to the Golden Circle and Blue Lagoon from Reykjavik?
+
Around 17 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Reykjavik can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Reykjavik and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Day Trip to the Golden Circle and Blue Lagoon from Reykjavik start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Reykjavik within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Reykjavik?
+
On Outty we rank every Reykjavik experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Reykjavik Food Walk - Local Foodie Adventure in Iceland, Small-Group Golden Circle, Blue Lagoon with Ticket & Kerid Crater, Reykjavík Small group Walking Tour - by CityWalk. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Reykjavik?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Reykjavik?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
