Beautiful but Prague has much more to see

It was a beautiful example of a 12th century town, but we only had 2 days in Prague and 1 of those days was spent at Cesky Kumlov. There was a lot of Prague we were not able to see as a result of not enough time.

Response from the operator: Hello, Thank you for your review! We're happy you had the chance to explore Cesky Krumlov with us, though we do understand how hard it is to experience all that Prague has to offer in just a couple of days. We always recommend spending a bit more time here if possible, and we’d love to welcome you again to help you discover even more of Prague’s rich culture and history. Wishing you wonderful travels ahead! Warm regards, Selen & the Prague City Adventures Team

    Perfect Day Out!

We took a day trip to Cesky Krumlov and had an amazing experience! Our guide, Johanka, was fantastic! Super funny, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. She really added to the whole day with her stories and insights, and she was so accommodating and helpful throughout the trip. Cesky Krumlov itself is absolutely beautiful, truly like stepping into a fairytale. Wandering through the charming streets and enjoying the delicious local food made the day even more special. I highly recommend visiting!

Response from the operator: Hi :) Thank you for such a thoughtful review. We’re so glad Johanka made the trip feel easy and fun, with the kind of stories and local context that bring Český Krumlov to life (and with plenty of help along the way when you needed it). And yes — that “fairytale” feeling is real. :) We love that you had time to simply wander, soak up the atmosphere, and enjoy the food as part of the experience, not just a quick stop. Wishing you many more travel days like this — and if Prague brings you back, we’d love to see you again and take you to another adventure with us. Warm wishes, Korn & Prague City Adventures Team

Perfect day trip to a beautiful city

What a lovely day trip. Cesky Krumlov is unbelievable beautiful and our guide Johanka was such a gem. Enjoyed the traditional food we were served for lunch. Would have liked a bit more free time to explore the city and do some shopping. The stop at Hluboká nad Vltavou was also very interesting.

Response from the operator: Dear Pia, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. :) Český Krumlov really does feel unreal in the best way — and it’s lovely to hear Johanka helped make the day feel easy and enjoyable, especially with a traditional lunch along the way. We also appreciate the note about free time. That balance between guided context and unhurried wandering is important, and we’ll keep your feedback in mind as we shape the pacing. Hluboká is such a beautiful addition too — we’re glad that stop stood out for you. 🤗 Wishing you a wonderful New Year, and if you make it back here again one day, we’d be happy to plan another day out. 😊 Warm greetings, Korn & Prague City Adventures Team

Day Trip to the Fairytale Town of Cesky Krumlov: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Prague.

How much does Day Trip to the Fairytale Town of Cesky Krumlov cost?

    +

Prices start at $88 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Prague usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Day Trip to the Fairytale Town of Cesky Krumlov take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Prague is not rushed.

Is Day Trip to the Fairytale Town of Cesky Krumlov worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Prague, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Day Trip to the Fairytale Town of Cesky Krumlov?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Day Trip to the Fairytale Town of Cesky Krumlov suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Day Trip to the Fairytale Town of Cesky Krumlov?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Prague can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Prague and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Day Trip to the Fairytale Town of Cesky Krumlov start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Prague within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Prague?

    +

On Outty we rank every Prague experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Best Reviews: Bohemian & Saxon Switzerland Day Trip From Prague, Bohemian & Saxon Switzerland From Prague-Travelers' Choice 2026, 3-hour Complete Prague Bike Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Prague?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Prague?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
