Great day trip option from Fes
This service offers a smooth and comfortable transfer from Fes to Chefchaouen. It is important to note that this is a driver‑only service, so no guide is included, and you explore the city on your own. The schedule was well‑organized: we had a pleasant coffee break along the way, and the driver also stopped at a scenic viewpoint just before entering Chefchaouen. Once in the city, we had around four hours to explore, which was enough time to enjoy the main highlights at a relaxed pace. Overall, a reliable and convenient option for visiting Chefchaouen from Fes.

Rough start with a good ending
The tour itself was lovely. Tarik was a great driver and very friendly. If you have a spare day in Fez, it's worth the long ride. I would give 5 stars, but they screwed up my reservation and left without me, because the driver didn't know about me. They moved me to the next day luckily. But I had to do some adjustments in my schedule and got up early for nothing.

Quick but relaxing
Visiting the town Chefchaouen for 4 hours was the perfect amount of time to get the gist of the place. We stopped and got lunch and got a quick drink from an orange stand, and went shopping at a few places. The town itself is very cute and photographable if that's your thing. We went in a small group of 7 people and got to do things on our own time vs having a guide follow us around. Our driver was good but had a weird stop or two before our actual halfway stop, but it was only for a few minutes and didn't take away much time from our drive or getting to the town on time. He was quite prompt and kind. If you are limited on time in Morocco, this is perfect for small groups or couples and definitely worth checking out! The town is so different from any other city we've been to!

Bumpy ride and fast driver through Mountains
No, we didn’t really enjoy our drive. We got picked up late because the van was at the blue gate but the website meeting place said Hotel Bab boujloud. Soufiane, our driver, drove super fast and the French Citreon minivan was bumpy and uncomfortable. Soufiane didn’t tell us any history about the Rif Mountains or any information about Chefchaouen. We just finished a 3-day desert tour in a Mercedes Benz minivan and we also drove through mountains on that trip. The German Benz van was so much more comfortable and not bumpy like Soufiane’s French Citreon van.

Day Trip From Fes to Chefchaouen: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Fez.
How much does Day Trip From Fes to Chefchaouen cost?
+
Prices start at $21 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Fez usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Day Trip From Fes to Chefchaouen take?
+
Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Fez is not rushed.
Is Day Trip From Fes to Chefchaouen worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 81 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 64 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Fez, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Day Trip From Fes to Chefchaouen?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Day Trip From Fes to Chefchaouen suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Day Trip From Fes to Chefchaouen?
+
Around 22 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Fez can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Fez and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Day Trip From Fes to Chefchaouen start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Fez within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Fez?
+
On Outty we rank every Fez experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Fes to Marrakech desert tour 3 days, Fes to Marrakech: Merzouga & Ait Ben Haddou, 3 Days 2 Nights, 2Days groupe Tour Fes To Fes Or Marrakech Via Sahara Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Fez?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Fez?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in Day Trip From Fes to Chefchaouen?
+
Included: In-vehicle air conditioning. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.
Where is the meeting point for Day Trip From Fes to Chefchaouen?
+
We pick up our clients from the location If the client has any questions they can get back to us through Viator or contact us through our phone number. Hotel pickup is not included, so plan your own transport and arrive 15 minutes early.
Will I get instant confirmation and a mobile ticket for Day Trip From Fes to Chefchaouen?
+
Confirmation is sent by the operator after booking, usually within 48 hours; if it is not confirmed you are not charged. Mobile tickets are accepted, so you can show the voucher on your phone.
What happens to Day Trip From Fes to Chefchaouen if the weather is bad?
+
It generally runs rain or shine, so dress for the forecast in Fez. Standard cancellation terms apply: free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start.
