Professional guide, personal touch
Nourddine, our guide for our run, shared his expertise in trail running (he holds the record for fastest ascent to Toubkal!), his knowledge about the local towns and their people, and he shared his home with us, providing a home cooked meal after the run. He and his brother are *the* group you want to book if you want to go trail running in the Atlas Mountains.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words! It was a real pleasure welcoming you to the Atlas Mountains and sharing our passion for trail running, our culture, and our home. We’re delighted you enjoyed the experience and the home-cooked meal after the run. Your recommendation means a lot to Noureddine and me. We hope to welcome you back for another adventure in Morocco soon. Safe travels!

A wonderful place to run and an excellent guide.
I spent Christmas Day running with Nourdine in the mountains. It was an excellent experience - he is a very impressive runner and a very friendly man - I will be back to run with him again in future.

Scam!!
Scam!! I booked this two months in advance. They waited until right after my cc was charged 2 days before, and then just hours later they canceled. They have not replied to any of my messages asking why or if I could reschedule. And because I have been waiting to hear back from them, it is now “too late to receive a refund”!! Scam! Do not book this!
Response from the operator: We’re sorry for the cancellation. It was due to not reaching the minimum number of participants, as stated in our terms. Refunds are handled by Viator, so please contact them directly if you haven’t received yours. We apologize if our communication didn’t reach you and appreciate your understanding.

A Spontaneous Adventure Turned Epic – Thank You, Nourdin!
I had the most incredible experience climbing Mount Toubkal with Nourdin! When my cycling plans changed unexpectedly, I found myself with a free day in Imlil. I contacted Nourdin late at night, and by 8 AM the next morning, we set off for a spontaneous speed ascent of North Africa’s highest peak. Nourdin was absolutely fantastic- professional, organized, knowledgeable, and full of positive energy. He perfectly paced the day, guided us safely through snowy sections (including using crampons over our trail shoes), and made sure we truly enjoyed every moment. His deep connection to the mountains and love for the outdoors was so clear and made the day even more special. The Atlas Mountains were breathtakingly beautiful, and thanks to Nourdin, we experienced them in the best possible way- with joy, laughter, and a real sense of adventure. I am beyond grateful for the experience and would highly recommend Nourdin to anyone wanting an authentic, unforgettable adventure in the Moroccan mountains. Thank you, Nourdin, I can’t wait to return the favour and host you in South Africa one day!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to share your experience! It was a real pleasure guiding you on your spontaneous ascent of Mount Toubkal. I’m delighted that everything came together so well and that you enjoyed not only reaching the summit but also the beauty and spirit of the Atlas Mountains. Your enthusiasm, positive attitude, and sense of adventure made the day even more memorable. I truly appreciate your recommendation and can’t wait to welcome you back to Morocco someday—or perhaps take you up on that invitation to South Africa! Wishing you many more incredible adventures ahead.

Best day in Morocco !
Only myself booked on the trip but went ahead as Youssef didn't want to disappoint me. He was a great guide who was very accomdating of my slow pace and gave me plenty of time to catch my breath and take photos. The scenery was breathtaking and Youssef was very happy to chat and answer all my questions about the surrounding area and Moroccan culture. Afterwards we went to his father's house and had a fabulous, filling, authentic Moroccan meal, and before my transfer back, I had time to wander round the village and take it all in. I would thoroughly recommend this trip to any level of runner as Youssef will adapt to you. He very much wants you to enjoy your experience and is very attentive and caring. Meeting his father was a real honour and I felt very comfortable in their company. My only regret ................ wasn't long enough. Next time I'm in Morocco, I will be heading straight for the hills !

Why this scores 58
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Day trip :Atlas Mountains Running trail Adventure: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marrakech.
How much does Day trip :Atlas Mountains Running trail Adventure cost?
+
Prices start at $90 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marrakech usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Day trip :Atlas Mountains Running trail Adventure take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marrakech is not rushed.
Is Day trip :Atlas Mountains Running trail Adventure worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 19 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Marrakech, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Day trip :Atlas Mountains Running trail Adventure?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Day trip :Atlas Mountains Running trail Adventure suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 12. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 6-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Day trip :Atlas Mountains Running trail Adventure?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marrakech can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marrakech and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Day trip :Atlas Mountains Running trail Adventure start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marrakech within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Marrakech?
+
On Outty we rank every Marrakech experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Agafay Desert Quad Bike Camel Ride and Dinner Show, Best Marrakech to Fes Sahara Desert Tour with Camp & Camel Trek, 3 Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour Camel Rides and Overnight. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Marrakech?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Marrakech?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
