A Fantastic Day with a Great Guide
We had a fantastic day from start to finish. Our driver and tour guide were both incredibly friendly, informative, and knowledgeable, and they really made the whole experience enjoyable. The tour vehicle was extremely clean, comfortable, and had great air conditioning, which was definitely appreciated. We also really enjoyed having enough time to relax and enjoy lunch without feeling rushed. Overall, it was a well-organized, comfortable, and memorable day. We would absolutely recommend this tour!

Teide, Icod de los Vinos, Garachico, and Masca guided bus tour
We booked the tour through our hotel. Pick up was on time, however the tour started 1hr from our pick up time. The tour guide Tony did his best during the full day tour speaking both in Spanish and English, however, it was very hard to follow up with his English as he was speaking too fast, and sound was unclear in the bus. It was a pity regarding the thorough info he mentioned about the island. The most thing we were annoyed about was that he highly recommended the restaurant Carmen SI in Icod de los vinos and mentioned that it is good with good price for a three course menu. However, the food was poor and we waited for 35 min till the first course soup was served and even cold! And we found ourselves need to finish eating in 10 min to catch the tour bus on time. Also Ended up paying 20 Euros/person which was different from the nr he claimed if we inform the restaurant that we are with him. We find it a quite shame, mainly after finding out in google reviews that this is a tourist trap and the same thing happened before with other tourists for this restaurant.

A must do in Tenerife!
This tour was really great to see a lot of the island in just one day! Really recommended! We learned a lot on Tenerife! Hector was really a great guide!

Views along the way are beautiful
While the guide and driver were great and the overall experience was wonderful, the bus had an issue with the stability air bags as the bus rocked from side to side. As a result of the air bag issue, an alarm sounded each time the bus leaned right, which became very annoying especially with the winding roadways.

Wonderful experience! Our...
Wonderful experience! Our tour operator Maia Rosa was very knowledgeable the only thing is the tour was in three different languages so I think that was kind if draining for her and perhaps took away from the experience. I am sure she had a lot more information she could have given us if she didn’t had to repeat the same thing three different times.

Why this scores 65
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Day Tour with Official Guide Around the Island of Tenerife: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tenerife.
How much does Day Tour with Official Guide Around the Island of Tenerife cost?
+
Prices start at $55 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tenerife usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Day Tour with Official Guide Around the Island of Tenerife take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tenerife is not rushed.
Is Day Tour with Official Guide Around the Island of Tenerife worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 46 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tenerife, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Day Tour with Official Guide Around the Island of Tenerife?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Day Tour with Official Guide Around the Island of Tenerife suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Day Tour with Official Guide Around the Island of Tenerife?
+
Around 16 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tenerife can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tenerife and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Day Tour with Official Guide Around the Island of Tenerife start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tenerife within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tenerife?
+
On Outty we rank every Tenerife experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whale watching & listening Eco-Catamaran Tour with Snacks &Drinks, Group Surfing Lesson at Playa de las Américas, Tenerife, 3-hour Whale and Dolphin Watching and Listening Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tenerife?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tenerife?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
