Avoid at all costs! Last-Minute Cancellation with No Support

I booked the Day Tour from Tirana to Berat City Castle, Durres and Belsh Lake with Pleasant Albania on March 31 at 6:35 AM for the April 1 tour through Tripadvisor. I received both a reference number and confirmation number, so naturally I assumed the booking was confirmed and everything was arranged. However, by after 3 PM on the day before the tour, I still had not received any communication from the company regarding the pickup time or tour details. The pickup location was automatically set as Hotel Opera, but there was no meetup timing provided at all. I tried reaching out through the Tripadvisor chat but received no response. I then sent an email and still heard nothing. Eventually, I searched for their phone number myself and contacted them via WhatsApp. I did not receive a reply until after 6 PM, which was about 3 hours later, when I was told he was not in Albania and would need to check with the agency office. Shortly afterward, I was informed that only two people had booked the tour, so the tour would not proceed and I would receive a refund. I then asked whether he could help arrange a replacement tour company, as that is what a reputable company would have done by cancelling last minute, and he said he would ask his friend. I waited patiently for an update, but by around 8 PM I still had not heard anything, so I sent another message. After that, there was no response at all. Very irresponsible. Because of this, I had to scramble at the last minute to find another tour company on my own. Fortunately, I was able to find one that could still take me. Otherwise, I would have wasted part of my trip to Albania without being able to visit Berat, which was one of the main places I wanted to see. Cancelations can happen, but the lack of communication, failure to proactively inform confirmed customers, and complete absence of follow-up support made this a very frustrating experience. I would not recommend booking with this company based on how poorly this situation was handled.

    Unfortunately no one appeared

Although the booking went well and was also confirmed, we could not contact the local organizer of the day trip. The morning of departure we waited for an hour but no one appeared unfortunately. Called and sent SMS messages but also got no response. Very bad experience so.

    Shameful.

The experience did not exist because they did not come to the meeting point. Making him skip the whole trip and day. Terrible! Waiting for my refund

Day Tour from Tirana to Berat City Castle-Durres and Belsh lake: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tirana.

How much does Day Tour from Tirana to Berat City Castle-Durres and Belsh lake cost?

    +

Prices start at $26 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tirana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Day Tour from Tirana to Berat City Castle-Durres and Belsh lake take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tirana is not rushed.

Is Day Tour from Tirana to Berat City Castle-Durres and Belsh lake worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 49 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (2.3/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tirana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Day Tour from Tirana to Berat City Castle-Durres and Belsh lake?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Day Tour from Tirana to Berat City Castle-Durres and Belsh lake suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Day Tour from Tirana to Berat City Castle-Durres and Belsh lake?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tirana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tirana and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Day Tour from Tirana to Berat City Castle-Durres and Belsh lake start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tirana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Tirana?

    +

On Outty we rank every Tirana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include From Tirana / Durres: Gamti Mountain and Bovilla lake Day Trip, From Tirana- Hiking Tour to Bovilla Lake & Gamti Mountain, Berat Cooking Class- Traditional Albanian Cooking Class /By Vato. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Tirana?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Tirana?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
