1. Skanderbeg Square

2. Blloku

   Blloku is an upmarket area in Tirana, Albania. It is widely known as an entertainment destination with its boutiques, shops, restaurants, trendy bars, pubs, and cafes. The area is part of the neighborhood of Tirana e Re in southwestern Tirana. During the peak summer months, its trendy bars transfer along the Albanian Riviera. It became very attractive after the fall of Communism in Albania because during the communist period it was a restricted residential area for the members of the Albanian politburo, ordinary Albanians would not be allowed in. On most maps it was unmarked. In Blloku you can still find the residence of Albania’s communist leader Enver Hoxha.

3. Tirana

Your guide can highlight the most important rooms for a focused visit. 3. Et’hem Bey Mosque Enter one of Tirana’s oldest and most enchanting monuments. Admire the mosque’s delicate frescoes portraying trees, waterfalls, and bridges, rare themes in Islamic art. Your guide will share the remarkable story of how thousands of citizens reopened the mosque in 1991, marking a turning point during Albania’s transition from dictatorship to democracy.

Originally dedicated to Enver Hoxha, it later stood abandoned for years — covered in graffiti and used as a giant slide by locals. 5. Tirana
