SHARM EXCURSIONS, CHEATS AND LUARS
We booked mid October to go on a trip to include the Giza plateau and pyramids( entry included), BBQ lunch and the museum in Cairo with a felucca trip extra at £10 and a visit to the grand bazaar time permitting. Since booking they have changed their website and things did not go as booked. We were told we would spend all day in Giza at the GEM which wS a definite bonus but incurred a cost and we paid to go into the plateau when we were told to enter a pyramid would cost extra, not just to access the side. We asked about the felucca trip which they didn't want to do The wind wasn't strong enough to sail well so we were towed (!) down river for 10 minutes and the current brought us back up . The sail was dropped so my friends did at leZt have some idea of how it's meant to be. For thiswe were charged £15. Out tour guide Mudo wanted £20 each but we refused. The biggest insult to our intelligence was lunch. The BBQ lunch promised was a meal in a family home which was awful. Cheap and nasty as my insides can testify today. None of use ate it. We expected to pay for drinks which is standard but £3 each for a 200ml can of pop in 3 cases and the same for my mint tea was disgusting. A young UK family thought the same. On the way out from eating a sick horse nursing a very young foal which had been laid on it's side earlier was seen to be dead. My friend keeps horses so wAs justifyably upset. Midos response wax " they call a doctor, don't eorry'. The museum and the pyramids were amazing but the company we booked with were shocking. A4 4 weeks were asked if we wanted to co to the airport (flight wS9pm) or go to the bazaar. We jumped at the chance but yet again were duped. The grand bazaar we expected turned out to be a business owned by midos extended family and sold ornaments and jewelry.. fuming. We had been taken to a perfumery earlier which we didn't want and a papyrus shop which some of us enjoyed. BUT PLEASE DO NOT Waste your time and .obey with this company. They are thieves and liars
