This is the most complete D-Day shore excursion from Le Havre and the only one that includes an English-speaking guide, a museum ticket, a freshly made sandwich from a local bakery and two stops most tours never visit. The Arromanches 360° Cinema opens the day: a 19-minute circular panoramic film combining original 1944 footage with present-day images on nine surrounding screens. No seats. You stand at the center as June 6, 1944 unfolds around you. Nothing prepares you for it. Longues-sur-Mer follows: the only German coastal gun battery in Normandy where the original 155mm weapons are still in place, still pointing toward the English Channel. No other shared tour from Le Havre includes it. Then Omaha Beach, the actual sand from Saving Private Ryan. Then the Normandy American Cemetery, where 9,387 white crosses face the sea above the bluffs. Your expert guide walks you through every stop in English. Museum ticket included. Sandwich included. Return to ship guaranteed.

Beware of British tour guides who slant American history.
**Shorter version:** Normandy Private Tours, U.S. Beaches private tour, Aug. 21, 2026. Guide Phillip, British-born and raised near Bordeaux, covered Omaha, the U.S. cemetery, and Pointe du Hoc. We dropped Utah at his suggestion. He downplayed American heroism and the fight for Pointe du Hoc. His statistics did not match academic histories, and when challenged he shrugged it off. The day felt rushed and minimal. He was one of two British guides who did this; a Belgian guide did not. If you book Normandy Private Tours for the American beaches, decide the itinerary yourself. Do not drop Utah just to save time. Ask in advance how the guide will treat Omaha, the cemetery, and Pointe du Hoc, and whether the commentary will follow established military history. Study D-Day yourself before you go so you can recognize a thin or slanted narrative.

We thoroughly enjoyed our...
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour to the Normandy D Day Beaches and the American Cemetery. Our driver/guide, Gilani, was accommodating, knowledgeable, interesting, and especially courteous. He organized our stops to maximize what we wanted to experience, and to make the most of our day. He brought us to a restaurant in Normandy for lunch, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Above all, our tour was exceptional, and I would highly recommend it, and Gilani to accompany you.
